The NHS COVID Pass is a way to show your coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination status or test results if you need to when you travel abroad.
You do not need to show an NHS COVID Pass for domestic events and venues in England.
NHS COVID Pass for travel
You may be asked to show your NHS COVID Pass when you travel abroad.
Check the foreign travel advice on GOV.UK to find out the entry requirements of the country you're visiting.
Using your NHS COVID Pass for travel
You can show your NHS COVID Pass on a smartphone or tablet.
You can also download it as a PDF, print it, have it sent as a link in an email or save it to your mobile device. You can also save it to Apple Wallet or Google Pay on your mobile.
You need to set up your NHS login at least 2 weeks before you want to use your digital NHS COVID Pass.
You can also request an NHS COVID Pass online to be emailed to you without having to create an NHS login. You can request this for yourself, or a child aged 5 years and over if you are their parent or legal guardian. Request an NHS COVID Pass online (to be sent by email).
You can get your NHS COVID Pass in other formats if you need to, including a letter, audio, big print and Braille. It can take 7 working days for an NHS COVID Pass letter to arrive.
