GP was very thorough but was running about 25 mins late. GP was meant to send through some exercises but have not received them yet

I have not needed to see a doctor regularly for some time but this has recently changed. I was therefore unfamiliar with how the whole system now works. I found it quite stressful getting an appointment and gave up twice as system crashed and also timed out. I was also a bit confused about which button I should be pressing a couple of times and I wondered how some more vulnerable patients cope with getting to see a doctor. That said I received a call back as per system the same day and an appointment 2 weeks later. I have no complaints about the doctor/s who were helpful and courteous although it would be helpful for both to have a doctor with whom you were familiar but in a practice as large as this it's probably impossible. On arrival at the surgery I was seen within half an hour of my appointment which I think is perfectly reasonable and I did not feel rushed in my time with the doctor. The waiting room was surprisingly not very full given the current situation in obtaining a doctor's appointment possibly due to good management and the avoidance of transmitting infection. I did have occasion to speak with a practice receptionist prior to my appointment who was most helpful as well. The call back system saved waiting on the phone although it was a little disconcerting to hear that if I was not called back within stated parameters I would have to start over. Generally my experience was positive although like many I do miss talking to a real person especially because on reflection I realised some of the answers I provided were inaccurate on Anima.

I had to attend with my Blood Pressure figures taken during the last week. The surgery was well run, clean and the staff friendly. I went in with very little wait and the lady was friendly and the room clean and tidy. She took my Blood Pressure and I produced the ones I had taken. She asked that I take night and morning reading for the coming week and she would ring me to discuss them. It all went very smoothly.

Arrived 5 min early but seen straight away, was given extra treatment including a COVID jab, BP taken and blood test

The doctor I met was very calm and helpful. I didn’t feel rushed and was given all the help I needed. Hope I meet the same doctor at my next appointment.

Recently, I had to visit the surgery for cancer screening; I was told that the results would be available in 2-3 days, that the surgery would contact me if there was an issue and that if I didn’t hear anything, I was clear. Perhaps you can imagine my worry and distress when 3 days later I then received a message from the Vine through the NHS ap. Then perhaps you can imagine my anger and disgust when the message was asking for feedback to rate my experience of the screening. At one time, I could trust the surgery to act in a professional and dignified manner, now they seem more like teenagers interested in obtaining “likes” on social media. I suppose the next step is to inform patients of terminal conditions via emoji’s.

Dear Mr Buckley, Please accept our apologies for any distress caused. For a lot of cases, when test results come back as normal, there is then no further action required, so this is why we say that we will contact you if there is anything that needs further action. The timing of the routine message asking for your feedback was perhaps not ideal in this situation, but we do contact patients regularly for a variety of reasons, including inviting patients to routine health screenings and immunisations. We can't always guarantee that these won't coincide with when patients are waiting on test results. The feedback received through this channel is reviewed by our management team, and constructive feedback is taken on board to help us improve the service we provide. The appointment was made for me and a convenient time was available. I arrived on time and was treated quickly and efficiently. Didn’t have a choice of venue so don’t know how people who don’t drive manage to get to Health Centre. Since Vine have taken over Stakes Lodge doesn’t seem to be used much

Dear Anonymous, Thank you for leaving us your review. The storage and movement of vaccines is tightly regulated, so the majority of our flu and Covid-19 vaccinations are delivered from the Health Centre Site. We did have a small number of flu appointments at other sites, but the majority were delivered at the Health Centre. The Stakes Lodge site is used by GPs, Nurses, HCAs, our local midwives, and is the base for our pharmacist team. Kind Regards, Vine Medical Group

Systems do everything to avoid letting you get appointment I saw dr a few weeks ago, they suggested try something for a month - if it doesn’t work come back and see me again. It didn’t work, so I tried to book follow up. The ridiculous booking system pushes you to a&e or the pharmacy. Eventually cracked code and got my follow up appointment Dreadful practice, but once you get through staff are fantastic

I contacted the GP practice about a skin lesion. I was referred to a community pharmacist, who judged that the condition should be examined by a doctor. The pharmacist contacted Vine Medical Group, and as a result I was offered an appointment with a skin specialist. The appointment went smoothly, I was offered a prescription for ointment, and recommended to make another Anima request if the problem had not improved in two weeks.
