   Two experiences necessitated me contacting Abingdon Medical Practice just before Christmas. I have been a patient there for forty years. My G.P. returned my call within a couple of hours, and said it better he examined me. I saw him that afternoon and he sent me off for X-Ray at Chelsea & Westminster, texting me the result the very next morning! Coincidentally that day I woke having a suspected TIA or stroke with a paralised and lame arm. I phoned the Surgery immediately and my doctor made arrangements for my admittance to Charing Cross A&E, emailing the hospital and sending me a copy to my phone. I had a CT scan within 20 minutes of arrival. The speed, efficency and care could not have been bettered privately. Abingdon Medical Practice has outstanding staff, and despite issues from the recent pandemic seem to rise to the occassion every time. Big thanks to both hospitals too for dealing with me so quickly. The NHS really are quite outstanding.
