    Visited St James Medical Practice at The Firs for the first time since is temporary move to this location. Although I had to wait for an hour, I appreciated being given a same day appointment via 111. The doctor I saw was very helpful, a great listener and showed wonderful empathy. The receptionist was also extremely helpful, suggesting I call 111 in the first place to try and get an appointment. She was so happy to me return in the afterNoon having successfully gained an appointment in person for that afternoon. I didn’t get the opportunity to thank her personally in the way out as she dealing with another client, but thank you, if you do get to read this.

    I had an experience where I met the female GP receptionist, and the male nurse or doctor called my name in the waiting room; I couldn't hear. I spoke to the receptionist, and they realised that I was a Deaf patient and used BSL (British Sign Language) on Thursday, 19th December 2024; it was a bit negative service. Today, my appointment was with a Black woman doctor. She was very nice and needs my communication access to video relay service for a sign language interpreter. It was a great service at the Firs Medical Centre. When I take a blood test next month.

    The nurse was very lovely and nice but the room had no heating in there was stone cold she had her coat on and I was booked in for an invasive appointment it was not a nice experience and not a nice place to work in with it being so cold I would of had a better experience if there was adequate heating

    The practice is okay but can be much better in my opinion with regards of more doctors and better appointment services and quick turnaround The doctor was really good with our son and check it all properly

    I had an appointment with the doctor at 15:45 today I had a problem with my eyes for the past few days my eyes were swollen and extremely itchy as I was explaining to doctor the situation but he did not even make eye contact with me I found him extremely rude as I explained to him the situation keeps accuring I told him if he can refer me as I need to know why this keeps accuring.
