Review titled Amazing practice. Can not recommend highly enough!

Am not a regular attender to see GPs. But unfortunately this year I have been in a few times and each time, staff, doctors, nurses have been kind, considerate and thorough. Always give me the time of day, and a genuine human touch but also clinically I can not fault them. Considering the pressure health care and staff are currently under, I am continually impressed with the consistency of high quality service for myself, my family and my in laws. Thank you to the red roofs team! You are all doing a fantastic job and you are appreciated!

Review titled Awful Practice
Rated 1 star out of 5
by A Bakali - Posted on 16 March 2024
I am a CKD stage 5 patient. And due to my medical condition I needed to see a doctor many a time but was never granted an appointment. Everytime it was always the case of, "Why do you want sn appointment" and then the same sentence, "we do not have any appointments today, call tomorrow". The thing is that if someone has called today and the appointment is not available, don't you think he should get a priority appt. the next day rather than being in the queue for another hour or so and then being told the same thing. This actually looked like shooing away the patients than to encourage them to come. Who in their right mind would call the surgery to have a cup of coffee and a gossip with the doctor? Unfortunately I had to change the surgery and now I am a happy bunny. People calling the surgery are not seeking fun, they are patients with myriad problems and when they are not helped they are heartbroken. I'm surprised the surgery is still open.

Dear Patient I am sorry that you have experienced poor service with us and have found the need to move surgery. We have introduced a new online triage booking service and a call back telephone system to try and alleviate the problem of access to appointments for patients. Unfortunately we are not always able to offer on the day appointments due to demand but hope that this new process will enable more patients to access appointments within an appropriate time scale to match the urgency of their medical problem. Kind Regards Cheryl Flude - Operations Manager

Review titled Pathetic GP practice
Rated 1 star out of 5

This practice is literally a joke, tbh. I wonder why its in existence at all. No amount of calls ever gets through and when they eventually do. The receptionist are quite rude to people or talk as if they dont want to be there at all. Whats the point of having such a practice in the community if they offer no help as expected. Planning to change to a more better and passionate place.

Review titled Waiting times
Rated 2 stars out of 5

Getting appointment is a joke but mostly no times for telephone appointments. If you only have a landline you have to arrange to stay home all morning or afternoon, not helpful when you work. If a mobile have to make sure always have a signal because if you miss the call they don't call back. Prescription repeats take a month and if you have to have a routine chat to doctor about a blood test you have to wait 4 weeks, not good for with people with medical anxiety and stress . Also you can only chat about one thing now and have to make yet another appointment for something else, another wait and waste of time for everyone

Review titled Waste of time
Rated 1 star out of 5

Receptionists are rude and seem like they don’t want to be there. The Doctors don’t listen and will only deal with one problem per visit, never mind that it’s taken over a month to get an appointment and if you’re lucky enough to get a face to face you are practically thrown out if you try to ask about more than one thing. Nobody seems to look at your medical records, for example I was given an antibiotic that I was allergic to even though it’s on my records for anyone who bothers to look. The few nurses that I have seen seem like they are trying to do their best but they don’t work for the practice, or at least the ones I saw didn’t. Getting an appointment is next to impossible because most of the doctors don’t work a full week in fact some of them only work one day.

Review titled Great Nurses within Practice
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I recently attended the surgery and can honestly say the nurse and student nurse who saw me were fantastic. They were very sensitive to the me during the procedure, they made me feel very relaxed and talked me through what was happening. Each time I have been to see the nurses at Red Roofs I have always treated respectfully and with care. Well done to all nurses at the practice
