Review titled Shameful
Rated 1 star out of 5

Informed had to make a GP app to discuss daughter's blood results, no info eas given on the phone, no app offered but told to call 8am for a same day. Had to go to Kennet Surgery 420pm as was only app could get outside school hrs. We arrived 3.55pm, a man who had app at 4pm turned up late at 4.09, was asked to wear a mask. He took mask, hung it from his ear as he walked up and down the waiting area, coughing and spluttering everywhere. Reception did not ask him to put on mask also didnt question why he was late yet he went in for his app. Another man whose app was 410pm didnt get to see GP until 440pm and we finally went in at 450pm. Asked reception why this happened as there are posters on the walls regarding late shows and waiting over app time and was rudely informed (whilst I was still talking)to 'ask the doctor, you are seeing the same one' repeatedly. She was rude, unhelpful and customer service is clearly not her forte. Turns out another another receptionist had given me the wrong information regarding needing an appointment and info recieved could have been given over the phone. Kennet Surgery is run down, disgusting and clearly do not care about its patients. Waste of GP time that all moan about and people wonder why the NHS is in the state it is in.

Review titled Great Practice, Best GPs
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 12 April 2025
It must be said that my GP at the Practice is without a doubt in my mind the very best GP one could ever hope for - his approach is so thorough and his attention to detail extraordinarily impressive. It is not too far-fetched to state that my mother and I firmly believe his attention to her blood work history, when we first joined the Practice some years ago, may have saved her life. It is also my understanding that my GP's colleagues at the Practice hold a similar uniquely high standard. Great practice, best GPs.

Review titled Excellent Practice and Patient Care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Gary Stanton - Posted on 25 March 2025
I want to express my thanks for the care received today and previous contact with the practice. People can be quick to criticise and never to praise. I have been with this practice for over twenty years. I cannot fault the care and understanding from the clinical and administrative colleagues. Thank you for caring

Review titled No one care for people
by Anonymous - Posted on 20 February 2025
I had a terrible experience with Kennet & Milman Surgery. Three weeks after my surgery, I was feeling unwell and sought help from the GP, but they failed to examine me properly or diagnose my condition. Instead, I was told to see my surgeon without a referral, even though it was required. When I contacted the practice again in pain, no one took responsibility, and I was left waiting for a promised GP call that never came. This lack of care and accountability is unacceptable—I was in pain and needed help, but the practice completely failed me. Would not recommend.

Review titled Not helpful at all
Rated 1 star out of 5

Tried to get travel vaccinations through here. First they stated we needed to go have a travel consultation and bring back a form highlighting what vaccines were required via the high street e.g. boots before they can proceed, which we did and paid for. However, upon giving them the form they stated that the high street chains do not have capability to access our records so they would not be able to articulate what vaccines we need given some are not required if already received and depends on what a patient last had so we had to book a consultation with the GP practice itself. They had no appointments available before we flew out and were not accommodating at all and very dismissive. The process is a circular error and needs reviewing.

Review titled no consideration for mental health.
Rated 1 star out of 5

please I beg do not register with this gp. do not. if you have any mental health issues, choose elsewhere. I’ve visited the gp on three occasions in the past 1.5 years and have received minimal help for my migraine disorder. at times feeling like a burden and as if my pain is not as bad as i say it is, essentially that i’m over exaggerating. on the most recent visit, i explained that because of the pain and the lack of help and support. my mental health was taking a dark turn. i received no acknowledgement, no help, no support. nothing. for my growing mental health issue. I was a danger to myself and i received nothing, the individual i was seeing didn’t even bother to acknowledge it, he brushed over it as if i said nothing of value. so please, if you are struggling mentally, choose another gp, even move gp’s

Paramedic practitioner misdiagnosed my young son with something serious when it wasn’t she just never checked him over properly which ended up us wasting a&e’s time. Used her personal mobile torch to check ears and throat!! Receptionists are rude and talk over you when you ring, really would not recommend!

Review titled Receptionists are rude
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 06 June 2024
I came to the surgery on the 5th June 2024 as I had an appointment booked. I went to the front desk expecting to be greeted with a smile and hello how can I help? Unfortunately that wasn’t the case as when it was my turn the rude receptionist who is about late 20s and clearly new as I haven’t seen her before greeted me with a look and replied yeah. In all my years of coming here have I ever witnessed such a rude person greeting me like that. This surgery has gone down hill so much and I would not recommend it to anyone it’s appallingly they clearly don’t understand what customer service means and no one knows what they are doing.

Review titled Book call back in with GP but it doesn’t happen
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 25 April 2024
I called up at 8 am in the morning and got a call back from the doctor booked in . It got to 4pm and I hadn’t got a call back so I called the GP surgery and they confirmed I had an appointment and was on the list for a call back. I called back at 6.15 concerned as to why I hadn’t got a call back from the GP to be told I wasn’t on the waiting list and that there was nothing recorded and the doctor had gone home. The receptionist was more concerned about her having to leave to go home rather than help and I was told to call 111
