Sadly the practice got my appt wrong .. text messaged a certain time which I turned up to, but had an earlier appt in their system. Quickly rectified and after a 10 min wait saw a consultant who was amazing.

Easy web booking of Doctor appointment. Call back within one hour from doctor. Discuss the problem. Immediately a prescription for antibiotics. Available at surgery chemist within 30 mins. Follow-up appointment for another problem the next day. Within 12 hours of appointment booking online. Great doctor. Again another prescription available. So two problems solved within 24 hours. Fantastic.

The doctor that I saw at the time was very patient and the advice I received from her was very good and the treatment recommended worked well for me.

Medwyn Surgery are generally a very good practice and I have been with them for years. However, I was disappointed that the GP there did not have any knowledge of NICE guidelines around HRT. I had to really fight to be allowed access to it (I’m nearly 47) and did not go away feeling reassured. The HRT was fantastic and I wanted to reduce my SSRI dosage. Again the GP did not have any knowledge of the NICE guidelines around SSRI tapering. I wasn’t given any support and had a traumatic experience of withdrawal after following GP instructions on reducing the dose. I’m now back on the original dose. I know these are sector-wide issues but I was hoping for a higher standard from Medwyn GPs.

The clinician reviewed my skin problems and referred me to Dorking Hospital and also to East Surrey Hospital. The notification for the appointment for East Surrey came through 4 days later on the Monday, the more urgent appointment, so I was very pleased to get it so soon.

The Medwyn surgery never fails to impress if they say they will arrange it it’s done . If you need an appointment you get one , email enquires , helpful efficient phone call consultations which save time money and free up face to face for those more in need . An excellent service .
