Hard to get appointments, even harder to get someone to answer the phone. When eventually got appointment the GP was good, friendly and actually listened.

Visited yesterday following e consult. Was seen slightly earlier than appointment time. The GP was lovely, he listened and gave me a thorough examination. I had gone with a list as I only visit the surgery when I am desperate, the GP dealt with two of my issues in the allotted time and I will therefore have to make a further appointment which I totally understand. I appreciate the difficulty in Gp time, getting appointments etc and you all do a good job trying to keep everyone happy, I have only ever been treated with kindness and respect. Thank you.

I was very nervous for my appointment and have put it off many times, and the previous nurse I had for the procedure was awful to me. But yesterday the nurse I had was so lovely and kind, she reassured me and just made the whole appointment so easy for me. Thank you so much it means the world, I'm glad the previous person has left.

I was seen very soon. My doctor was very kind and efficient with what I needed to do with my problems. I was also recommended a solution, also a follow up meeting. The reception was very welcoming, which made my experience easy. This practice is very good, even the parking is very good.

A friendly Doctor who was helpful and thorough. I was given two tests to follow up which I have now done and await the results of these. I should be having a face to face appointment with a diabetic adviser soon as the blood test result is back. Thank you for all your help.

I was able to see my own Doctor, after a few tries. Once in front of my Dr., I was given the time and attention, to explain my health issues, and ongoing medication without feeling rushed. I came away feeling more confident about my ongoing treatment, plus less stressed as a result.

I had two appointments made at the same time, so I had them written down on an appointment slio by the receptionist. Both appointments had incorrect times, resulting in me missing my 1st appointment, as I turned up at the time she had written down! The second appointment, I had to ring and confirm the time, as I had a text with a different time come through a few days before. Maybe this is why people are missing appointments!! Also, I had to have bloods re-taken, as after I found a lump, I had to have bloods and a scan/mammogram. The bloods the GP took at the time were lost? How!!! Something so important!!! I had to wait on hold for over an hour both times I called, just to speak to a receptionist. Then you can never get an appointment that day, only 2 months later. That's why the A&E is so over stretched as they have people being told to go there instead of a GP, when it really isn't necessary for them to go to A&E. The whole system is appalling and staff are making wreckless mistakes!!!

Dear Patient, Thank you for the feedback you have left, we appreciate any feedback that is given, I apologise that this is the experience you have received at the practice, to be able to look into this incident in more detail we will need some more information from you. I would encourage you to either write, phone, email somicb.hendfordlodge-contact@nhs.net or come into the practice and speak to the Reception manager to explain what has happened so we can investigate this fully, as this is not up to the standard of care that we aspire to give.
