    Had my routine smear test and it was done with as much dignity as it could be. Nurses were both lovely X thank you xx

    The nurse who did my smear test was amazing, patient and kind. The nurse understood my phobias and was so supportive . However, the staff on reception are often appear to be fed up. This leads them to come across as very unsupportive and rude. I assume this is due to the high amount of pressure they’re under to handle a large amount of calls each day. I feel this has made them void of empathy. Please put more funding into the management of the phone lines at this surgery. I’m almost completely convinced that with a smaller work load, those who work on reception will be happier to assist and not completely ignorant to their tone when talking to patients.

    Very helpful, caring and compassionate staff who did everything and more to make me feel at ease and stay with me until I felt safe enough to leave 😊 nothing was to much and my care felt like it came first!

  4. Review titled A struggle

    I had a great experience with the nurse practitioner the other day. However, overall this surgery has been a struggle the last few years. The GP prescribed me medication, told me I needed a review, I had to organise the review which as with most surgeries involves ringing up on a morning to be put in a call queue and not get an appointment. I was told to try the eConsult system, which in theory should be great, a GP seemed to respond promptly and agree to a repeat prescription with an upping of the dosage. A few days later, I decided to see if the meds had arrived, nothing. It took 10 days for the prescription to go through, in which time the meds I was on ran out, meaning that when the pharmacy did tell me they had arrived, I had to refuse them as I could not go to the higher dose and have to start the cycle again. The negative impact from the hassle of doing this outweighs any benefits I seem to get from the meds themselves so I just give up. Perhaps this is the same everywhere, I don't know. The employees all seem great and do their best, but something in the system seems broken.

    Not only did my baby not get her 6-8 week check up (10 weeks old and still heard nothing) I attended for my smear, booked by the receptionist and it was a waste of time as I am not yet 12 weeks post partum, so was a waste of everyone’s time

    No problems straight forward got the help I needed. Made me feel happy again and got my medication the same day as I lost both parents and needed support and there if I need them

    I was arranged to have my daughters first set of jabs and also my 6-8 week postpartum check up. The jabs were arranged and booked first before the 6-8 week check. I questioned whether the appointments needed to the other way round, as it made sense to me, but the lady on the phone said no it doesn’t matter. Then I turned up for my appointment and I didn’t even sit down in the treatment room before the nurses told me not to get comfortable because my appointments had been booked the wrong way round, even though I questioned it in the first place! And as most people know, trying to leave the house with a newborn on your own can be quite challenging, think the information/communication needs to be better!
