I had an exceptional experience with the lady at reception who helped me a lot and organised a doctors appointment as quickly as she could.

Review titled Phone call request for PSA blood test

Having phoned at 08:10am this morning and eventually received a call back from the surgery at 10:00am. I requested a PSA blood test which the receptionist asked why, I gave my DOB, which makes my age as 74. Given that the NHS and government are constantly reminding over 50’s to have a PSA blood test, I thought this was a strange answer to my request. I now have to wait another week to speak to a medical advisor who will no doubt interrogate me and make a judgement on whether I qualify to have a PSA blood test. Shameful and not the response I would have expected from a GP practise that I and many others have contributed to over many years of paying a NI contribution.

The upmost care i was given the receptionists are always polite and kind and always extremely helpful. This is a excellent practice

The problem is having to be there at 7.30 to be sure of getting an urgent appointment .Once you get the appointment everything works very smoothly.

I noticed my heart beating louder and took bp reading over 12 days and saw irregular heart beat logo. Made an appt with the nurse who then did an ECG and promptly called the Doctor who explained what was happening. Prescription given and follow up with Doctor arranged also blood test arranged I think the treatment I was given was excellent on the day.
