    After a recent visit to Beacon medical practice surgery, I found it easy to check in, received good friendly professional service. The waiting area was comfortable, not crowded, and I had very little waiting time.

    i have always found e-consult an easy simple process. It is all automated and the prompts help you to explain your situation and the use of photos is convenient too. i was notified when the Gp received my submitted form and a date that the Gp will phone me. Luckily i was free when the Gp called (i can imagine this is can be an issue with this service). The Gp understood my situation and clearly read a looked into the matter before phoning and informed me of the next steps. There are of course some questions asked that seem a bit too alarming when you only have a minor issue but of course that is there to make sure that you get to the right service is you are experiencing a serious illness.

    Feeling really ill - having to do online consult. 3 times in the last week. On the first occasion being told I would have to wait more than 2 weeks. Was phoned at 8.50 in the morning after my third consult. The phone rang twice then clicked onto some weird voicemail ( which I could only read once) Doctor did not phone again until 6.30 in the evening- too late to get my medication. Very disappointed that I have had to do a fourth econsult and ask to see a Doctor for a proper assessment. With this episode - I have spoken to a paramedic, received a text from a doctor and the third contact was from another doctor who sounded like she was talking in a tin can.

    I submitted an e-consult for a condition that I didn’t need to see a doctor for and had a response within a couple of hours. Really easy and saved myself and the surgery a lot of time and effort.

    When you are feeling unwell the last thing you want to do is spend time completing an online referral. I am all in favour of sorting minor problems with a telephone consult but it is frustrating having to wait for callbacks, knowing if and when you will see somebody. My recent problem was concerning my ears and I needed the confidence of seeing someone to check them to give a more accurate diagnosis.

    I had a doctors call back and my experience was good, the Doctor listened to me , explained my questions and was easy to talk to. When calling about a blood test appointment the receptionist was helpful and informative and friendly.
