After contacting surgery via anime, nurse practioner called me to make an appointment for the same day. She was very friendly & welcoming. Also very helpful. Prescribed me ear spray which i got straight away from surgery chemist. Very much appreciated. Thankyou

  2. Review titled Very thorough

I had been having really severe headache due to sinus problems. I had my blood pressure and temperature taken, my eyes and the sources pain checked. A prescription was given with advice to monitor my blood pressure and report this for the next week, revisit the optician in case I needed adjustment on my glasses and to get n touch if there were further problems. Not rushed and felt I was listened too.

  3. Review titled Ambrose Avenue

Firstly in an attempt to secure an appointment as it wasn’t classified as an emergency it was quickly dismissed and I was told to essentially sort myself out through an online portal. However in hospitality the no.1 trait that matters is compassion- the fact that I’m not about to die doesn’t mean my condition isn’t an emergency to me for all you know I have failure to function adequately. at the bare minimum make me feel welcome and like my health is valued. Later I was called in to come back on the same day & i can confidently say I’ve been given the wrong diagnosis and no help at all not even an over the counter medication was advised now my time has been wasted and I’ve been left to my own devices to find a cure. I would like to commend the nurse- she followed protocol and was hospitable. Ultimately I’d say going to the practice was a complete waste of my time and energy.

I requested support via Anima, I was called within a couple of hours, appointment an hour later, immediate test for DVT within surgery plus examination, referred for an xray again within a couple of hours . Follow up call with Drs and advice given . Absolutely, amazing service

  6. Review titled Contacting the surgery and prescriptions.

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Frances Shephard - Posted on 06 May 2025

I have found the prescription service very good helping me to access my medication sometimes at short notice. I have struggled with the new Anima contact system. I am in my seventies and struggle with some technology. I became very distressed trying to use it. I don’t understand why there needs to be two ways to access it. I kept trying to change my password and it wouldn’t accept my changes. I had to get my husband to use an iPad and help me. Then when I finally did I had to answer questions as to when I had had two procedures done in the past and I was being timed. I couldn’t find that information in the time available which upset me hugely. So I just made up dates which I know is not good. I need to speak to a dr regarding two different consultations and am waiting for appointments. It took ages to get my consultants letters onto your systems. One was a biopsy result and I wasted a drs time saying it was not available -and I was on a two week cancer assessment. This was four weeks after the biopsy was taken. It concerns me that I won’t be able to keep up with the technology. Please make sure for us older people we can still speak to someone if we need help using this new approach to appointments at 8 o'clock in the morning when we need to access it. If I needed an urgent appointment I would have been stuck waiting to speak to someone at 9 -all the appointments would have gone for the day. Some of us need help understanding how to use it . When I have got to speak to drs they have always been lovely and have helped me as best they can.

  9. Review titled Very difficult to contact, especially to make an appoin

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Linda Meredith - Posted on 14 April 2025

Amine is not user friendly, takes too long and far too much effort when feeling unwell. I was actually speaking to a receptionist regarding some results but she couldn’t /wouldn’t make me an appointment to see a doctor. I had to do this via Amina , and guess what? The appointment team rang me back! A waste of my time and doubling their workload. No apppintments for 10days. I was sent a text msg with available appointment days for a review, the link didn’t work, again had to phone, took ages and was only offered a telephone appointment, not acceptable for an Asthma review. Contacting the surgery is a nightmare, very stressfull.

  10. Review titled Good practice bad service

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Michelle Williamson - Posted on 16 April 2025

Trouble with getting an appointment, can’t see doctor you want to see anymore!, gone are the days you see your actual doctor who should know your health record. Get appointment with a nurse practitioner that undermines you. I know when I have tonsillitis!!! Said couldn’t see anything! I can see the white patches and in throat and voice box sore. Told viral and clear off basically. They even turned my mum away never mind 7 hours at an and e prior. She needed to see her doctor. Absolutely poor care and for the elderly this new system is diabolical , need more phone lines, more staff to man the phones and go back to the old system and be able to book appointments with a doctor you want to see and also in advance. I’m desperate to see my diabetic nurse and been fobbed off!. I couldn’t make my appointment on 3rd April due to illness ended up emailing to tell surgery! And asked for a new appointment and I’m being fobbed off! She sees me monthly due to my problems. I need to see her! Sort this mess out. Fuming to say the least.
