    Waited 2 months to see GP face to face to be told I missed appt as time was 1 hour before this was not what I was told. Receptionist unhelpful and rude. No offer of help or advice just you missed appt. I told them I would now have to go to A & E and use their resources as no help given.

    The first good news was I was able to get an appointment within 2 weeks. I was seen on time. The doctor treated me like a human being and then carried out the refferal as discussed and am now awaiting a hospital appointment. One week later I had to attend a check up on my Rhumatoid Arthritis treatment and saw a different doctor who was also great to talk to and we agreed a plan going forward.

    I contacted my GP for some antibiotics for what I believe to be tonsillitis. The GP called me and I missed the call. I called straight back - had to wait for half an hour to get through to a receptionist who told me she would ask the doctor to call back. I spend the afternoon waiting - even organising for someone else to pick up my child as I didn’t want to miss the call. They didn’t call me - so I then spend another 25 minutes on hold to get through to a receptionist who said that the GP probably wouldn’t call. This is incredibly frustrating - if they had just said that they won’t call back then I could have made alternative arrangements - spoken to my insurance provider or contacted a private GP. I’m disappointed with the poor communication and the fact that I couldn’t pick up my child for fear of missing the call. It is also now too late for me to contact a private GP - and so I will need to wait until tomorrow when I am really unwell.
