About timolol tablets

Timolol tablets belong to a group of medicines called beta blockers. They are used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and reduce chest pain caused by angina. They are also used to prevent migraines.

If you have high blood pressure, taking timolol can help to prevent future heart disease, or heart attacks.

Timolol is only available on prescription.

Timolol also comes combined with bendroflumethiazide (a diuretic medicine). These combination tablets are only used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension).

Timolol also comes as eye drops which are used for glaucoma.
