Malt wheat brekkie and mandarin

Malt wheat cereal with juicy mandarin segments, a quick and simple breakfast for your baby. When choosing your breakfast cereal, look for one with the lowest sugar.

  • 25g malt wheat cereal
  • 100ml full fat milk
  • 40g tinned mandarin segments (in juice, drained)

Serve with one slice of wholemeal toast (and 1 tsp of vegetable oil spread).


  1. Put the malt wheat cereal in a bowl, add the milk, allow to soften.
  2. Drain the mandarin segments and place on a plate.
  3. Serve the cereal with a spoon and the mandarin on the side as a finger food.
From 12 months, your child should be having 3 meals a day. They may also need 2 healthy snacks in between.
