Sweet potato fingers recipe

Delicious baked sweet potato, sliced into easy-to-eat sticks for your baby.

Age: 6 months or older

Prep: 5 mins

Cook: 25 mins

Portions: 3 (approx)

Ingredients

  • 1 small sweet potato, peeled
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 200C. Slice the sweet potato into finger-sized wedges – big enough for your baby to hold in their hand with the top half poking out.

  2. Rub the sweet potato wedges with the oil, then place on a baking tray.

  3. Bake in the oven for 20 to 30 minutes – cook until the sweet potato is soft and starting to brown a little.

  4. Allow to cool, remove any excess oil with kitchen paper before serving.

  5. Information:

    Serve with full-fat plain yoghurt for dipping.
