Cereal with peaches

Wheat bisks in whole milk with peach slices - a quick and easy breakfast for your baby. If you're making it for children over 5 years, just switch to skimmed milk.

  • 1 wheat bisk
  • 100ml whole milk
  • 25g canned peach slices (in juice, drained)

If you want to serve it warm, heat the milk in a saucepan before pouring over the wheat bisks (remember to test the temperature before serving).


  1. Crumble the wheat bisks into a bowl, add whole milk and leave to soak.
  2. Cut the peach slices into long fingers – big enough for your baby to hold, with the top half poking out.
  3. Give your baby a spoon for the cereal and put the peach slices on the side to encourage self-feeding.
  4. As an alternative, try mashing the peaches with a fork and add it to the cereal. Serve peeled apple slices as a finger food.
From 10-12 months, your child should be having 3 meals a day.
