Station lane medical centre. General observations of service at this pharmacy. During my visit yesterday there were three or four staff in the main area dealing with a delivery. Pharmacist was at the front counter presumably checking prescriptions though at one point walked form behind the counter and past me actually looking towards me, then walked back without speaking. One lady was getting/organising a prescription for another customer. All staff at various times looked towards me and were aware I was waiting to be seen. I was actually waiting to "buy" some adhesive dressings. After five minutes plus waiting I was approached by one member of staff made my request and she said, I don't think we have any. All fairness too her she made a show of looking but I felt that she knew that what I requested wasn't in stock or wasn't stocked. Five minutes + waiting. I could have been told this immediately had someone prioritised customer needs. On another occasion while waiting in a queue an elderly lady who clearly had mobility problems, zimmer frame, difficulty in walking, extremely slow walking pace was told by the pharmacist, we haven't got that, they might have it if you walk down to the other branch. Or you can wait because it has been ordered. I couldn't believe that lack of empathy and understanding shown. This type of staff behaviour is usual in this branch. I will continue to use this branch for prescriptions. My GP is station Lane. I will not even think about going in for advice or to buy needed medical supplies.

Found out today I’ve had my last prescriptions delivered, I have severe mobility problems don’t Drive & have no family & friends who live nearby I relied on this service I don’t know how I’m going to get my prescriptions now!

We have had to make changes to the criteria of our delivery service to ensure we are still able to offer a free delivery service to our most vulnerable, housebound customers and for people who have no support. We understand this has caused disappointment and frustration to some of our customers. Please be assured we have not taken the decision to make these changes lightly. We would advise you to call the pharmacy and and speak to the team so you can discuss your individual needs with them directly as you may meet the new criteria and be able to stay on the delivery service.
