I received a text from Boots High Street, Exeter branch informing me that my prescription was ready to collect. When I eventually reached the head of a 12 person queue after a 20 minute wait I was told that only 1 of the 2 items were available. I was told to go back to my surgery for an alternative prescription. Why was I informed my prescription was ready for collection when clearly it was not? When I was eventually able to make contact with my surgery, which necessitated a physical visit by car because they were not answering phones, I was informed that I should have asked Boots for the name of an alternative prescription so that I could ask my surgery for an alternative prescription. Why couldn't Boots make contact with my surgery to ask for an alternative prescription? Have we now descended to the age of 'do it yourself' in this supposed age of electronic communication? In my opinion Boots pharmacy has a lot to answer for and is not doing anything like its best for patients. I look forward to a response. Regards

I have used this pharmacy for several years and was quite happy with the service until about 12 mths ago. Since then it has taken them over 10 days from receiving a prescription to issuing the medication. When I spoke to an assistant on the phone she was extremely rude saying " if you don't like it go to another chemist " . I should have made a formal complaint at the time as the same problem has continued. My prescription was sent on 11/10/2022 it is now 25/10/2022 and I have heard nothing yet again no text as promised by boots. This Leeds me to beleive this pharmacy is not fit for purpose.
