    In one Boots Store I couldn't get the Buy One - Get One Half Price Offer as I don't have a Boots Advantage Card. So, paid full price for my eye drops. Next week the Manager of another Boots gave me the discount and told me it wasn't true that you had to have an advantage card. Yesterday I went into a different Boots and was advised that I couldn't have the discount. They weren't interested when I told them about the Manager's information. Got home and looked it up on-line and of course you do have to have an advantage card. These days I very rarely shop at places where you get discounts for being a loyal customer. It seems a real chore to join everything and balance cardfs with all the other tasks that have to be remembered and carried out.

    Something very simple, like ordering anticonvulsants for wife, goes horribly wrong. So we run out completely. Boots pharmacist can't say when or if ..... Etc. last minute rush around to get GP to re-issue prescription to an alternative pharmacy who can get same medication easily and quickly. Totally unnecessary life-threatening situation could have been easily avoided. Never again.

    I have not been informed of my prescriptions a few times over the last two years. The city centre pharmacy claimed that I had to ask my GP to order my medication. My GP clinic confirmed that I had a repeat prescription, that the pharmacy should know to order this each month, and that I did not need to do anything. However, although the prescription was processed without any issue over the last two years, a similar hiccup occurred two further times that led to a heated discussion with a pharmacist and further confirmation from my clinic that the pharmacy was aware that a repeated prescription had been ordered. Eventually, I changed pharmacies and had two months of no problems. Currently, I am without medication. Today, I spoke to the pharmacist about the matter and was told that Boots no longer ordered prescriptions without an individual repeatedly asking their GP to order them. It was not a great discussion because the logic did not match issues around client care that the NHS is bound to follow. It appears that as an organisation, repeated prescriptions cannot continue as a rolling order unless patients sign themselves up to a list they have established. Whilst there are several security issues around this, my primary interaction should be with my clinic and GP who first decided that I needed the medication. When I spoke with my GP minutes later, they believed that the pharmacy should be informing clients if they stop orders. This is refuted by the pharmacy who claimed that a national campaign had informed the public. This was not something that I was aware of, and the clinic received many phone calls from clients from December onwards who had not been informed by Boots that their medication order had been stopped. The clinic said that concern had been highlighted by other clinics dealing with Boots. Media advertising and simple word-of-mouth are not sufficient, especially when some medications are vital for both physical and mental welfare. I have now arranged for my prescriptions to be sent to another pharmacy organisation. There will be no recommendation for Boots pharmacies from me, only an extremely poor comment about their lack of decency and strange belief that they are operating in a fair and just manner.

    2nd visit for my presentation which was prescribed a week ago. 1st time asked me to another time as meditation not ready and now I missed my meditation for a week. 2nd visit is not ready again and I had to wait more than half an hour.

    In 2022 I booked a flu vaccine in advance via Boots website - it was cancelled as it fell in staff lunch break! 2023- booked well in advance for date I wanted, received numerous reminders- guess what! This afternoon the day before the booked appointment it was amended to 28th Nov at an inconvenient time for me, over a month later from my booked appointment. Absolutely appalling - My Advice - use another pharmacy. Boots service non existent feel let down for 2nd year running. NHS should scrub any contract they may have with them.

    After unsuccessfully trying to speak to my surgery, I was desperate to start a course of antibiotics for a UTI, before the start of my holiday in 3 days time. As it was a Friday I asked the pharmacist at my local branch if I could get the medication, which I’d had before from her, she helpfully explained the procedure, as pharmacies can now prescribe antibiotics for common conditions, which I was aware of. I have unfortunately been cursed with this problem before and knew which tablets I needed . She told me I’d need to pay a regular prescription charge, despite me being over 60. This seemed reasonable. Long story short, after filling in the online form, taking a selfie , taking a photo of my passport, I was granted a prescription. I then had to pay £23 for 6 tablets ! Outrageous. This is supposed to be a service provided by the NHS to take pressure off of the GPs surgeries, but as usual someone somewhere is making money. I feel resentful that I had to pay so much for so little when I had to do all the work myself too.

    My wife has rheumatoid arthritis and recently had a major operation. She is dependent on her painkillers. We have used the repeat prescription system for some time with only a few minor problems but this month the system is refusing to allow her to confirm her order (when the confirm button is pressed the screen greys out). I have phoned the 'helpline' numerous times over the last three days. When the line doesn't cut out the staff spoken to (even the supposedly technical experts) seem to have no idea what the problem is or how to solve it. Her painkillers will run out in the next few days. I'm sure we're not the only people experiencing these problems. However sympathetic the customer services responses this will not stop my wife suffering unnecessary pain because of the inadequacies of the system and the incompetence of the staff running it. That such a major company is incapable of resolving such a problem is a disgrace.

    I'm genuinely devastated. I got no notification that my medication was ready to collect this month and when I called about it was told that they're stopping this service. "You'll have to do what everyone else does", the man said, rudely, as if I had been somehow been demanding special treatment rather than assuming I could trust Boots to keep its word on something as vital as my healthcare. I have relied on this service for years, it made managing my ADHD so, so much easier! And they didn't even tell me they were taking it away, just left me to run out of meds. This after I already had had to deal with shortages over the last few months. I honestly can't believe Boots would do this to disabled and chronically ill people. There are so many conditions that make managing repeat prescriptions difficulty. I will never trust Boots with anything important again.

    We cannot beleive that the Boots Pharmacy on Bacup Road in Rawtenstall,Lancs is closing down and moving into another store in the town centre. This pharmacy is always busy and there is parking as it is within a complax that also houses GP`s, Out patients, clinics,a drop in centre,Maternity Unit and a Hospice so it has its own parking facility. Why move it into another store in the town centre that has little parking anyway? If this store was quiet it would make sense but it is rarely ever empty and is always so busy. The staff know people really well and understand there needs. Our family have used this since it opened and would not go into the town centre so will have to find another chemist closer to home (which there are several nearby) but we choose to travel severalmiles because of its great service. Please re-think this closure.

    My repeat prescription was messed. Supposed to get them at the same time. Called the pharmacy several times not friendly or reliable staff. Still waiting for a delivery. Avoid Boots online repeat prescription service.
