Review titled Mixed messages, sometimes very rude

I am at the QEII for antenatal care. I have not seen the same midwife twice, and it is not clear which appointments are at the hospital and which are with the community midwife. We are hoping to have a home birth, but trying to get a straight answer about how to arrange this has been close to impossible. First midwife was very supportive, told us how it works and to ask closer to due date. Everyone else passing us from pillar to post. Today's midwife (28 weeks) was incredibly rude, saying "you don't get a choice" to a simple question (she had invited us to ask questions), and everything she said contradicted previous information. No clear guidance at all, and no reason to behave like this with people.

Having my appointment date changed several times since December for a follow-up consultation with the Consultant to meet his availability, I had to wait 2.5 hours yesterday for one of his Fellows to see me as the Consultant was on leave. He merely repeated what I had already been told and the appointment was concluded in 5 minutes.

I came to the hospital for urgent blood tests with my husband and baby son while suffering from a bad attack of vertigo. Reception staff at the blood test unit were extremely kind and seeing that I was struggling with my baby while waiting due to vertigo one lady offered to hold him while I had my blood test done and ensured I was seen quickly. Following the test another receptionist helped me back to a seat and the other lady waited with me and my baby until my husband came back to collect us. Their kindness made a huge difference on a difficult day and made me feel safe when I was feeling quite anxious.

I attended the Urgent Care Centre in Welwyn today and I was so impressed. I was treated with the utmost care and respect. The staff were very professional and the whole experience was super efficient. Thank you.

The title says it all really. Not a single appointment available to book a blood test at the QE2 (and they go 6 weeks in advance) Also this department is not even listed to be able to leave a review.

Attended yesterday for x ray - fracture confirmed. Only waited an hour to be seen. From start to finish staff and service just excellent. Efficient process in place to ensure everyone is seen quickly. Staff should be commended for their compassion and work ethic. Thank you so much for the treatment and care received you are all doing a great job !

I have to say I have received the most amazing treatment from start to finish. I had an X-ray which showed some patches on lungs and I need a CT scan to rule anything else. Within 24 hours appointment offered and results given within hours of receiving it. All staff in radiology was friendly, professional and put my mind at ease in such a worry time. Well done all you are giving us an amazing treatment. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I was received in time and treated very well with courtesy and consideration. I was thoroughly examined by the doctor and the nurses were extremely helpful to me. They all were very professional and efficient.I am grateful to all.

Went in for my diabetic retinal screening. Absolutely efficient, informative and kind. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted and the entire procedure was clearly explained. Barely a wait and post care instructions immediately outlined. Light years beyond the care provided in America. Thank you!
