  2. Review titled Urgent care for my daughter

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Duriye - Posted on 08 June 2024

Went to urgent care as my daughter hurt her arm. We suspected a dislocated shoulder We waited for a short amount of time, called in by a lovely gentleman you won’t let me name here and was seen to in consultation with him. He had a really nice demeanor and as he was talking assessed that she had a ‘pulled elbow’ and rectified it there and then. Told us to go out and play a bit- he would be out to double Check on us which he did and she was absolutely fine! Thankfully a very pleasant urgent care experience!! Thanks man who can’t be named! !

  3. Review titled Great medical but terrible receptionists.

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Allan Warburton - Posted on 06 June 2023

Firstly, I came here with breathing difficulties and the nurse and doctor I saw were amazing. Absolutely 10/10 so thank you to those two. But why is it always the receptionists that let these places down? When I turned up, there was a guy being told off and sent back to the queue because he hadn’t been called forward. To be fair, there is a sign but it’s one of many, looks predictably primary school and just blends in with all the other rules and regs. Secondly, the receptionists are almost inaudible. I’m 34, english is my first language and my hearing is perfect. Becausee there were two receptionists and the other one was shouting up through the screen much louder than the lady I was speaking to, I couldn’t hear. To say ‘pardon me’ a couple of times seemed to wind up the receptionist. The receptionist sitting so low down, behind a screen and competing with someone else to be the loudest is farcical. Im imagine that for anyone with hearing problems would really struggle. Queuing system looks like an after thought when they built the place and they’ve thrown up a couple of screens. Perfect for a temporary emergency but pretty tragic got a permanent solution. The only bad thing about the nurses is they won’t let the door shut when they call names of people and no one can hear them because the door isn’t near the waiting room and they mumble.

  4. Review titled Disappointing every 4 weeks

Rated 1 star out of 5

At my 8 week appointments for antenatal care, you need to complete blood and urine tests. The blood was unable to be tested 5 times! Meaning I needed to wait for hours to repeat the same test and not receive any results until 16 weeks and this is only when I asked for them. At 12 weeks, my scan was more painful than anything else and the midwife left me with a friction burn on my stomach. I was then told due to my negative blood type my body may be attacking my baby and given a leaflet, that’s it. At 16 weeks, I was to compete the Fetal dna blood test which was unable to be tested - not surprising as this is now common for me at QEII. I rebooked to complete the test and when I attended the appointment there was nothing on the system so the blood test could not be completed. Now I am waiting for a midwife to return my call to book the blood test and go to lister to have it completed, I don’t trust QEII anymore. I have never seen the same midwife twice, information is sparse and most of it I have found out through a friend that is a midwife or through my own research. Not the experience I had hoped for during my first pregnancy.

  5. Review titled Excellent quick diagnosis of a rare condition

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by CA Witherspoon - Posted on 17 May 2023

Extremely impressed with the GP I saw at the urgent care centre. Was genuinely interested and concerned with presented symptoms. Carried out basic tests and gave a potential diagnosis of a rare condition and urgent immediate referral to another hospital, which resulted in me having an emergency operation for what could have been a life altering condition without urgent intervention. I am extremely grateful for the quick response and identification.
