  1. Review titled Department is out of reach

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 14 July 2023

I had an appointment on 29th June where doctor advised some blood tests. GP mentioned that those results would not come to them and I am trying to connect with endocrinology department from last 3 days my call goes on hold for more than 25 mins and no response from them. I am looking for my results to take further steps. Phone calls are not helping and GP has nothing in hand. I am sorry, but this is very disappointing.

  3. Review titled Poor booking system

    by sagittariusyr65 - Posted on 07 June 2023

I attended for an Outpatient hysteroscopy King George Hospital, Ilford as part of a 2 week fast track programme. I was not given any prior notice of what or how this would happen and no advice re pain relief. The procedure was stopped due to the severe pain I was in. They decided that I needed to have this repeated but with a local anaesthetic. I am still trying to get this booked. When telephoning, no one answers the phone, or if they do you have been put through to the wrong department/person. They have tried calling but they don't leave a message and the number shown is not for the department needed.

  4. Review titled Worst experience

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 02 June 2023

The waiting times are completely abysmal. I’ve been here with my son for 7 hours and we are still waiting to be seen just for an x-ray. It’s absolutely outrageous as I sit here whilst my poor son writhes in agony just waiting for someone to see him. . It is just absolutely ridiculous how someone has to wait this long to be seen for a serious injury. There are people here that have waited 8+ hours and still are left with no response from anyone. It is completely unfair how us and all of these people have to sit here and suffer in silence whilst the doctors scuffle around gathering their stuff together. 0/10 this place is completely ridiculous and if you need to be seen asap do not come here.

  6. Review titled Very poor service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 27 June 2023

I visited the emergency department (ED) on 27th June 2023 to seek urgent medical attention for my palm injury. Initially, I was attended to by a preliminary-review nurse who displayed no patient assurance, care, or politeness. She simply checked my details and temperature before asking me to wait in the waiting room. After waiting for some time, one of the ED receptionists informed me that it would take 5 to 6 hours before I could be seen by a doctor or receive treatment. Unfortunately, the receptionist was impolite and refused to identify herself when I requested to know who was conveying the message. Due to the unbearable pain and the unsatisfactory treatment thus far, I decided to cancel my appointment and return home.

  7. Review titled Fantastic treatment

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Ian - Posted on 03 June 2023

I had a colonoscopy under general anaestheti yesterday and the treatment I received was excellent. From the minute I arrived at the Adult Day Care Centre to the time I left the staff were efficient, kind and reassuring. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

  8. Review titled Poor Service

I have just had one of the worst health care experiences after spending over 3.5 hours at the King George Hospital Urgent Treatment Centre with my child who suffered a splinter embedded in his right middle finger.Ironically, he suffered this injury at school and this restricts his ability to use a pen comfortably. He is in the middle of his SATs exams and need to revise and rest for his next exam tomorrow. We arrived at the Hospital around 5.25 pm and was told the waiting time is btn 6 to 7 hours. How do you keep a child with SATs exams tomorrow morning in A&E till 1am before going home to sleep for school the next morning.I had to make a decision to get the child home after waiting for about 3. 5 hours and not been seen.I have really lost hope in the A&E service at KGH. I kept repeating to reception staff to consider my child's situation and alert responsible staff to progress to no avail.I have a child with such pain having to attend school to undertake his tests tomorrow but it was a dilemma with no easy answers.A&E Services should consider unique situations and prioritise support.

  9. Review titled Rude patient's dad and some rude staff

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 11 August 2023

Rude patient's parents= I am absolutely anger and sad that patient's dad shouted at me for jumping the queue, which I did not do because the staff called my name first. I am suffering anxiety and depression which this low life made my anxiety and depression worse. At that time, I was recovering from grief and extreme shock of my grandma past away. Also I kept myself calm while doing my blood pressure check etc and during my extreme anxiety/ depression. I wish your staff or security told that rude patient's dad not to shout at me because I was very vunerable at that time which I explained few lines above. Few rude staff= on May or June, at urgent treatment centre, a staff shouted at me "I could at went to gp". Remember, at that time I was suffering anxiety/depression due to extreme event which I have explained earlier in the first paragraph. This again my mental health conditions worse. I had very painful head pain. One security was rude also, which again made my anxiety/depression worse. Without hour= waiting hour made my anxiety worse which made me leave the hospital many times.

  10. Review titled Poor administration, brilliant secretarial support

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by David Francis - Posted on 20 July 2023

Late May the consultant prescribed new medication . He gave me a month's supply and advised that a letter would be sent to my doctor to prescribe future months. Six weeks later the letter was typed but was not sent. A week later i called the secretary and she personally put a copy in the post. Unfortunately my doctor can not prescribe the medication and an addendum advising an alternative was missed off the letter. A revised letter was put into the hospital post room and a week has passed and my doctor has not received it. I ran out of the new medication 4 weeks ago. Though I am critising the administration , the support given by the consultant secretary has been first class
