    I’ve had many dealings with the NHS over the past few years, some good some not so good but my recent visit to the Urology Ambulatory ward ward 12 was first class. The staff were brilliant from the student nurse and the two other nurses I was treated by, credit where credit is due I found them to be calm, collected, knowledgeable, professional and friendly, I was put at ease and given quality treatment plus given the time to ask questions without feeling rushed. Please pass on my thanks to the staff for their efforts, they were and are everything that is great about our NHS, once again Thank you again

  2. Review titled Knee Xray Appointment and Results

    After waiting since last August for a knee x-ray appointment, I finally had the x-ray in mid March. Now its April, I contacted my GP surgery and they are still waiting to receive my results. I am 79 years old and my knee pain has been getting worse over the past 18 months. I am originally from the States (I moved here in 1965), and am so very grateful for our NHS. It saddens me greatly that the system seems so broken. The wait has been very frustrating and it looks like the waiting time for knee surgery is up to a year. I had my x-ray at Castle Hill Hospital in Cottingham, East Riding of Yorkshire.

    Just been in to Castle Hill Cardiology Day Care Ward for a cardiac ablation. The care I received from everyone was amazing. The senior nurse on the ward was wonderful and so were the rest of the staff. Everything was very carefully explained to me so I was very clear what to expect. I would like to say a really big thank you to everyone concerned

    I took my son to the Dermatology Department and before I'd even been checked in by the receptionist. A junior doctor who was stood only a few steps away turned to the nurses and said " oh good, another kid, my day just got worse". I couldn't believe what I was hearing and no one corrected her or apologised, even though she had 3 nurses stood near by!

    maxillofacial has really gone downhill over the past year. Staff feel dismissive and can just be really rude with no tact whatsoever. nowadays i feel uncomfortable getting just regular check ups. Even leave you waiting for hours in the waiting room to be seen, never used to be like this! it all just makes me feel like they don’t want me here and they have no interest in my treatment at all. really sad because this place used to be top notch even just a couple years back.

    I have been receiving care and treatment in the Cardiology Department over several years, the last being an overall cardiac examination with various members of staff. I have received excellent care and friendly kindness always, over several years.

    The biggest asset this unit has is the staff, from admitting to discharging the whole afternoon was a really positive experience. Friendly, everything was explained clearly, nothing was too much trouble. Their reassurance to a nervous patient was marvellous. Don’t every be afraid to have treatment at this unit

    I had elective Parathyroidectomy surgery Feb 3rd. I cannot thank enough to all those involved in my procedure. So grateful to the Surgeon, to whom I had full confidence in that I knew I had the ‘best of the best, & to his assistant Surgeon, the anaesthetists, the theatre staff to & the staff on Ward 16, I thank you all.
