I visited the doctors today and I must admit I saw a doctor I hadn’t seen before. He treated me with respect and listened to my issues and talked through possible solutions and I felt valued.

  2. Review titled Great Practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I've had a few visits to the Doctor's Surgery this month and the service was great from making the appointment at the reception desk and then to seeing the relevant person. All persons involved in my visit was kind, respectful and very professional. The persons who I had the appointment with listened to my concerns, responded to my queries, explained what was happening, the options available and then we agreed on a way to resolve the issue. Reassurance is normally given by this statement "If you have any queries or if you notice any changes that worrying come back in and see us".

  3. Review titled Amazing staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I recently visited my GP to discuss managing my asthma, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. From the moment I walked in, the reception staff was warm and welcoming, making the check-in process quick and easy. My GP took the time to thoroughly assess my symptoms and answer all of my questions about my asthma medication and management plan. They explained everything clearly, which made me feel much more confident about managing my condition going forward. The care I received was professional, compassionate, and tailored to my needs. I left the appointment feeling reassured and supported, and I’m so grateful for the level of care I’ve received at this practice. Highly recommend it to anyone seeking quality healthcare!

  5. Review titled Unreasonable Patient Care Experience

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 21 January 2025

I arrived for my 16:50 appointment at 16:56, but was denied care even considering I am in daily pain. The notice at reception did note if the patient is more than 10 minutes late they will need to rebook, but in this case this ought not to apply. No reason was given for breaching this notice so it came across as impolite and careless to deny care seemingly flippantly. I did take time off work for this appointment so this is a further cost but I am sure there is a legitimate reason for this late cancellation that I was not made aware of.

  7. Review titled Inconvenient

Rated 2 stars out of 5

All patients are forced to ring at 8.30am and must have a same day appointment. Ok if you are ill on that day but say, you wished to rebook a general check up with your gp? No chance. I work shifts in the nhs and have to wait for my day off to ring on the day for an appointment, of course when I ring at 8 30 I'm 12th in the queue so I have to register my spot and await a call back. Might get the call back to say appointments are "full, try again tomorrow", well im due back at work tomorrow. Very frustrating. And let's say I'm having really bad migraines - do I want to be hanging on waiting for a call back when all I really want is to lay in a dark, quiet room, undisturbed? Anyway, today i got a telephone appointment only to be told that the pain relief i received from A&E doctor (3 days supply had run out) would not be prescribed for me because they don't prescribe that medication. What???? And we wonder why everyone goes to A&E - it's because we have to jump through hoops and beg our own GP in the community.
