  1. Review titled Excellent care and compassion

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 11 April 2024

After experiencing a medical issue in a sensitive area, I was worried about the embarrassment of discussing this. I phoned my surgery in the morning, I received a very prompt call back and was booked in for an appointment later that day. Each person I spoke to was very reassuring and kind, enabling me to feel more at ease. I was very impressed with the care and sensitive way my problem was dealt with, from the initial interaction with the person who answered the telephone, to the doctor who called to do the triage, and especially with the GP that I saw regarding the problem. I highly recommend this practice for the focus on treating people as individuals and the excellent care they provide.

I requested a repeat on my HRT prescription. They gave me 4 patches which is sufficient for two weeks. When I wrote and asked why, I did not receive an answer and now I have re-requested my prescription but have not received it and have run out

  3. Review titled Efficient and responsive care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

My husband rang the practice for me because I'd woken up with severe vertigo symptoms. Within a short amount of time I'd had a phone consultation, and a prescription for some pills had been organised directly to my nominated pharmacy, and an appointment made for later that afternoon for me to attend to see a doctor in person, who was thorough in examining me and confirming it was vertigo and nothing more concerning. I find this typical of the practice, who have to cover a huge number of patients now and so have to triage effectively. Our whole family is registered there and our experience is that whilst the use of phone consultations and online referral forms has necessarily had to increase due to the volume of patients, they are flexible and responsive according to need and urgency. Estuary View is a great facility and the staff are skilled and supportive.

Dear Patient So sorry to hear that you are suffering with vertigo but pleased to hear that you have found the practice to be flexible and responsive to your needs. You are correct that triage has been a necessary step and it does enable patients to be directed to the most appropriate clinician within the appropriate time frame. Thank you very much for taking the time to provide feedback, which will be passed on to the practice team. We hope your medication is taking effect and that you are on the way to making a speedy recovery. Kind regards. Joanne Jack Patient Safety and Quality Manager

  4. Review titled Efficient

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Letter I have recently sent to the practice...... I feel compelled to drop you a quick line. Over the past several weeks I've had a recurring issue with my legs. I wont bore you with the details. This morning I finally called the Surgery. I had settled in with a cup of tea prepared for inevitable 30 minute wait to get through. I was speaking to someone in about 30 seconds. I explained my issue and was offered a phone call for today. Within an hour I was speaking to xxxxx. After a few minutes explanation they had spoken to another colleague at the surgery and called me back. I was invited up and was face to face with them within 30 minutes. Absolutely put my mind at rest and looked after me. Now referred for a test in the near future. All of this in under 2 hours. Whatever changes have been made, they work. Excellent. In these days when people are quick to complain, we must be as quick to praise. If the surgery has a testimonial page I am happy for this email to be added. Please give my regards and thanks to xxxxx. Regards

  6. Review titled Getting through a maze

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Philip Atherton - Posted on 26 October 2023

I recently required a catheter — something I have no experience of. The support staff at Estuary View took time to find out what I needed to do in way of support and made sure I was in contact with the urology suite for back-up. I’ve been with this GP practice for 13 years and can say that they are consistently helpful.

  7. Review titled Prescription Repeats

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Ian - Posted on 11 September 2023

Wish to express grateful appreciation for all the prompt attention given to my prescription repeats, since living in Seasalter from September 2019. I submit them via the Patient Access web site and in no time duly approved by the team dealing with prescription repeats, have whizzed my request approved to my nominated pharmacy. Invariably I add a message of thanks, but felt I should drop in a more expressive e-mail. Additionally thank you for the early notice about the demise of our much loved pharmacies. It is such a loss to all in the community in Seasalter and Whitstable, affecting patients and medical staff alike. The workload during this unwelcome transition must have been very challenging, even overwhelming.

I went last night with an overwhelming worry about part of a needle being left in my arm after it's withdrawal in QEQM....after a short wait I was seen by this lovely lady who listened to my story, she checked my arm and assured me there was nothing there...I can't tell you the relief it gave me, as a result I had a really deep sleep, first for ages....I'm sorry I didn't get your name but you are a Saint X

  9. Review titled Great Practise

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Mr Richard Henry Parkinson - Posted on 09 September 2023

The situation from the minute I entered the main door was of politeness and courteous of which I was directed to use the screens to enter my details (assisted by a member of the staff) Later I was examined by a clinician who's name I have. Her understanding of my small leg problem was attended to in a most professional manner, and the end result I was assured was well diagnosed of which my thanks were given There is no doubt in my mind "I'm better" Many thanks. My previous visit at Estuary View (2022) was the very same treatment of a small heart situation, excellent. I shall be registering soon. The entire building was beautifully clean and very efficiently run. The view from my treatment room was outstanding.

  10. Review titled Outstanding care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I was booked in for a hysteroscopy procedure and was extremely nervous. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. I honestly cannot praise them enough. I have had procedures at private clinics before - this was by far a better experience!
