Review titled claims not a clinician and raises infection risk.
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 20 February 2025
During this appointment, Nurse s.o attempted to use the same needle multiple times, repeatedly inserting and removing it. In addition, she failed to properly disinfect the skin with alcohol before inserting the needle. This raises significant concerns about infection control and adherence to basic clinical procedures. The failure to disinfect the skin before inserting a needle increases the risk of infection, bloodstream infections, inflammation, irritation, and delayed healing, which is in direct violation of UK health laws and standards outlined in the Nursing and Midwifery Council's Code of Conduct. The Code mandates healthcare professionals to adhere to proper infection control protocols to ensure patient safety. Beyond these procedural issues, I found Nurse s.o attitude to be dismissive and unprofessional, which made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I was shocked to later learn that she is a fully qualified nurse, as her technique and knowledge did not reflect the expected standards of a trained healthcare professional. Second Appointment: This appointment was scheduled by the Family Nurse as part of my fertility treatment, specifically timed for a certain stage of my cycle. However, upon arrival, Nurse s.o appeared unaware of the reason for my visit. She stated that she did not know which blood tests to perform and asked me to review the Family Nurse consultation and tell her which tests she should do. When I explained that the Family Nurse had arranged the appointment and I did not know which blood tests should be taken, she insisted that she was not a clinician and could not determine what tests were needed. She repeatedly asked me to identify which blood tests to perform, despite my clear explanation that I am not medically trained. Her attitude was rude, dismissive, and belittling, which made me feel distressed and uncomfortable. I ultimately left the consultation in tears, a situation that was witnessed by the receptionist due to her unprofessional behavior. I initially refrained from filing a complaint after the first appointment, hoping it was an isolated incident. However, the repeated lack of professionalism, clinical awareness, and patient care demonstrated by Nurse s.oba is deeply concerning. These experiences have caused me to lose confidence in the standard of care at Well Street Surgery.

Review titled Terrible practice, rude receptionist and no responsive practice manager
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 10 February 2025
I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the service and management at your practice, which I believe has fallen far below acceptable standards. Firstly, I have consistently encountered unprofessionalism from the reception staff. Their ability to communicate effectively with patients is severely lacking, and it’s clear that they require additional training to handle customer service appropriately. Moreover, I have tried to reach out to the practice manager, on multiple occasions concerning the inadequate treatment I have received. Regrettably, I have never received a return call. Each time, I was forced to visit the practice in person, only to be left waiting for over 45 minutes on three separate occasions, only to be told each time that the manager was unavailable due to being on a call or in a meeting. This pattern of behaviour is unacceptable for someone in a managerial position who should be addressing patient concerns and supporting her staff. The entire system in place at the practice does not function well and is not practical for patients like me, who lead busy lives. I am frustrated by the time I have wasted trying to resolve these issues without any progress. Despite making a formal complaint, I have yet to receive any response. Additionally, today I received a phone call at 8:25am to cancel my face-to-face appointment scheduled for 8:50am, while I was already en route. This is incredibly frustrating. Afterward, when I attempted to reschedule, I was informed that it could not be done. Furthermore, after visiting the practice for an emergency appointment booking on Monday, 3rd Feb, I was informed that my appointment would be scheduled for two weeks later (Friday, 14th Feb), without a specific time, which adds to my frustration given my medical conditions. The ambiguity and lack of clarity about appointment scheduling are unacceptable, especially for sensitive health issues. Given these experiences, I will be leaving the practice. The combination of inexperienced administrative staff, an unreachable practice manager, and inadequate care from the doctors reflects a serious lack of competence in managing this practice. Cecilio

After a small operation to clean and remove an abscess from my lower back at Homerton Hospital, I required the dressing to be checked and changed daily. I would like to thank the nursing team for their care and attention throughout the three weeks that I attended the surgery

Review titled The best GP in my 13 years in uk
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Marta Romero - Posted on 25 September 2024
Unfortunally my health is not the best. I have been in many other gp registered and this on so far is the best. The quick response the care in the whole team. It makes such a big difference. A year ago I arrived with a small lump in my breast. The quick response of all the team diagnosing and delegating the problem to the main doctors in the hospital was amazing. Unfortunatelly it was breast cancer. A year later this gp is still in very close contact to check my health and in everything they can help. Thank you

Review titled Thoughtful call
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by JAG - Posted on 09 July 2024
I was called about a possible home visit for a check up I needed. This was especially thoughtful as I am housebound but I had been told previously I had to go in. So thankful for the thoughtfulness of this. The lady told me exactly why she was calling and explained it very clearly - for which I was very grateful.

Review titled Compassionate and prompt service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Tahira Hussain - Posted on 04 July 2024
I am extremely impressed & delighted with consultation with Dr m a . He is very pleasant and helpful doctor. I felt well informed on the benefits and risks of the treatment. He is very helpful nice manner and compassionate. My son has a graze on his arm and he was so kind to clean and put a plaster on his bruise before he started consultation. He is one the best doctor at well street surgery. He has been always professional and on point with treatments. Yesterday, I had a blood test appointment and requested to have an additional test so that I wouldn't need to come in again. Phlebotomist coordinated with Dr. m a and promptly added it to the system. Everything was done in a timely manner, and a follow-up appointment is also scheduled to review the blood results. Thank you, doctor and phlebotomist, for being so helpful and kind.

Review titled Efficient and compassionate service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Nicola - Posted on 21 June 2024
I am 39 weeks pregnant and was suffering with abdominal pain. I contacted the surgery and the GP called me back promptly, arranged bloods, consulted with the obstetrics team at my hospital etc all within a day or so. He was compassionate, at a particularly vulnerable time as a pregnant woman, and I think the level of efficiency and clear communication and understanding was exceptional. I also had an ultrasound booked into check my area of concern within a day or so, and all of my concerns were addressed.

Review titled Disappointed
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Devvy - Posted on 30 April 2024
I have contacted the surgery twice regarding some update on documents regarding my father who had passed away. On both occasions the receptionist did not offer condolences or emphasis. Working for the NHS this should go without saying. But instead i got two different replies on the same subject. When I questioned how come i was given different information i was ignored.
