I was seen by one of the doctor. She listened to my symptoms & examined me. She was pleasant & referred me for treatment. I found her reassuring.

  2. Review titled The computer says no

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Charlie Burdett - Posted on 06 June 2025

Went to the surgery to book an appointment. As an infrequent visitor to the doctors ( adult male whos profile generally avoid the doctors) i was told you can now only make an appnt online. The subsequent booking questions are too generic and if you think you need to see a doctor , you should be welcomed. The system only encourages self diagnoses which conflicts with doctors who previously recoil at such activity. Not impressed

  3. Review titled Patient Access system replacing telephone in person queries

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Adriana Noble - Posted on 17 April 2025

As I am not particularly technologically savvy, it took me several attempts before I managed to open an account on Patient Access website. This was after I was informed that appointments could no longer be made by calling in or on the phone. I think the new system must be very difficult for those who do not have a smartphone or access to internet. This may affect the elderly or those who simply do not own a smartphone nor a technological device. This category of the public have no way of booking an appointment if they are not online and may be just as in need as those who have the technological skills to use the app. I note that there is a checklist of questions you have to answer before you can even book an appointment on line. If you answer "no" to all of these, you cannot make an appointment online. I worry that many people may just give up if they are faced with this checklist. I am aware that GP's have been overwhelmed with appointments in the past, some of which may not have been necessary. However, I am not sure that those who really do need to see a doctor, will manage to get an appointment going forward because of the barriers to communication that the online system presents. I now have a Patient Access account up and running and I think, personally, I will manage going forward. I had to call in at my GP to find out what to do when my request could not be answered online but now have advice on how my particular issue can be resolved. Therefore, I do not speak for myself as I am mobile and rarely need to make an appointment. I often need prescriptions recommended by my consultant and sometimes book myself in with the nurse. I speak for many others who I am aware are having difficulties. I have always found the reception staff, nurses and GP's very helpful at my GP surgery. I fear that the new exclusively digital booking system may result in more work, rather than less, on the administrative side because of the difficulties many may encounter online. Please understand that I am very happy with Vineyard Hill Road Surgery. My issue relates exclusively to the online booking system which I am aware that many other GP’s and clinics have now adopted. Yours sincerely

Dear Patient Thank you for taking your time to leave us feedback. We did consider patients who are digitally unable to access the system before going live with this. All patients are still able to call or come down to the surgery and the surgery team will be able to complete the form on behalf of the patient who are perhaps struggling for the first time to complete the form. Our aim is to allow patients to access us online where they are able and therefore free up the phone and face to face methods for patients who struggle with digital access.

  5. Review titled Awful patient triage

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 28 April 2025

Until recently you called the surgery to book a n appointment/general enquiry. The practice has now introduced a website which triages your request. The website form is long, not content specific and doesn’t enable you to speak to anyone. For example, I need to confirm or book vacinnations for my whole family. The website does not allow me to request this. So I have to send 5 requests for 5 different dates. I don’t know if this is std NHS practice or local to the GP but it’s so awful we are considering a move to another practice.

  6. Review titled Lovely GP

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I really cannot express how happy I am with my GP who has been dealing with my appointments. She makes me feel listened to and respected. She really cares about her patients and finding out what is best for them. Very happy, and really “enjoy” my appointments.

  7. Review titled Great and caring practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I got some serious rash on my back and armpit few weeks before. It was first diagnosed as shingles by the first doctor. I took acyclovir for a week but it did not work. I returned to the GP next week. An other was really patient to check my rash and diagnosed it was fungus infection. She was right and the prescription cream worked very well. Thank you

Rated 3 stars out of 5

I find myself confused about getting an appointment through the website a nightmare which puts me off bothering in the first place. Not good for me, not good for the practice

  9. Review titled Empathetic and supportive GP

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Ellie - Posted on 03 February 2025

I came in for an issue that I was expecting to be “resolved” with a recommendation for paracetamol. The GP was attentive and took me very seriously. I felt like I was really being listened to about my pain. She gave me clear instructions forward, alongside a referral for further investigation. This GP sets a very high standard and I am very grateful to have been seen by her.

  10. Review titled Amazing GP

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Imane Ziouche - Posted on 24 January 2025

I was very impressed by how professional and skilled the doctor was during our appointment. In 10 years in the UK she is the best doctor I had. She went above and beyond and answered my questions and took my concerns seriously. I am already recommending her to people I know in the area.
