    Great service, I sent photos. The GP reviewed and called back, asked some questions then said he would do a referral for me for an ultrasound I think it was.

    It was severely painful. Although gel was used, there were some scratches around my vagina and they caused pain after that. Vaselline healed the pain, though. I think the inserted plastic device was too big for me. Hope there will be a smaller or narrower device for this test in the future. Otherwise I would avoid taking this test. The booking was immediate, on the day I phoned, which was helpful.

    I am very sorry to hear about your recent smear test experience. I have discussed with the practice nurse and we will now also have smaller speculums available (the device used) to avoid any recurrence. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and I hope that you will continue to have your regular smear tests for your health. It would also help the nurse at your next smear test if you remind them if they can use a smaller speculum to examine you with.

    She was pleasant and friendly, she asked me questions relating to my condition and referred me to a gym, something I wanted to do. The staff at reception are polite and friendly too, not gossiping, which I feel is not professional. On the whole quite satisfied with Riverside surgery.

I am pleased that the nurse was able to help you and that both the nurse and reception staff were friendly, polite and professional.     The Diabetes nurse service was good. Good customer care . The nurse is compassionate and very caring. She listens to your story and helps to find solutions with you the patient. Her attitude is good. I don’t mind seeing her all the time because she is very empathetic and gives her best to her patients.

    Went for annual check up. The nurse who I personally felt was wonderful. She explained everything and reassured me that I should relax as taking blood from me I a big task. My veins have collapsed due to chemotherapy. She is happy to have a conversation and ask the right questions to make me feel comfortable.

    I was called and the phone was extremely muffled. I was told it’s fine if it’s muffled because I won’t be on the call for long but I couldn’t understand who was ringing me. I just remember being asked what my name was and if I had asthma which I replied no and then they were like goodbye. I redialed the number because I had no idea who/why I was being rung. The receptionist told me someone rang me from riverside practice and they got me confused with an asthma patient appointment. I have my first call appointment later this week but this isn’t a very good first impression of the riverside practice 😅

    I was met by the nurse who escorted me to room 4. They got my details up and then kept looking at the screen for some minutes. I tried a number of times to get them to book my upcoming appointment for a hormone injection. They appeared uninterested and unconcerned in regards to me as a person or patient. I also tried to ask if I had my PSA test through this blood test would it also register on the NHS computer and available to the oncologist treating me. I left the surgery feeling insecure and of no importance. The manner of my treatment, I felt, was off-handed bordering on casualness that I haven't experienced in a long time.

    I am sorry to hear about your recent experience when seeing the nurse. I have discussed your comments with the nurse involved, who has also reflected on these. We always try to listen and be helpful when seeing patients and will be more mindful to check that we have explained things clearly and made sure that we have answered any questions if able to. Going forward the nurse will be more aware of explaining things more clearly and helping a patient with their queries, which may mean involving other members of the team such as admin or the doctor.     Hi there, I’ve booked an appointment to get the second dose of the Hep A vaccine over the phone. Upon arrival at the practice, the nurse realised that the vaccine had not been requested and therefore I turned up for no reason.

    Thank you for your feedback and am sorry that you were unable to have your vaccination and any inconvenience caused. We do not stock any travel vaccinations but instead issue a prescription for the travel vaccinations we can provide at the surgery to be ordered by you from your chosen pharmacy and brought with you to your appointment with the nurse. Please contact the practice manager who can help you arrange your second hepatitis A vaccination. It would also help us to learn how to avoid this happening again and if any staff training is needed. We do allow directly bookable nurse appointments and will review how travel vaccinations are booked.

    I have been with this surgery for the last 23 years. I think with a good management the surgery is very receptive to its patients. I always felt welcome by reception, doctors and nurses often reminded of blood tests etc. This is very good for the patients wellbeing. I always hope they will alway maintain this standard towards the patients
