Review titled No access to doctors
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 12 February 2025
Access to getting an appointment is a case of being the first to dial in at 8am (urgent) or 10am Thursday (routine). A functioning service must surely be based on medical need rather than dexterity and luck in getting in first. Receptionists have given misleading and conflicting advice on how to get an appointment. The only way to be seen urgently is to use A&E at Royal Berks or a separate town centre 'walk-in' service.

Review titled Good appointment with doctor on 16/1/25 at 13.15
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Winifred Mary Beardmore - Posted on 24 January 2025
Following an Annual Review which didn’t meet my expectations, I got the chance of an appointment with a doctor. (Not allowed to leave a name!!!!!!) I was able to raise my concerns about my knee pain. She referred me to the musculoskeletal clinic. I wish to thank her. I had a thorough and excellent a meeting there yesterday. It seems the problem May emanate from my hip. I had an X-ray today. Regards. Nor my own name. How very frustrating. This is not progress!! Appt was on 16/1 at 13.15.

Review titled Great asthma nurse
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Rachel J - Posted on 05 July 2023
Had a really helpful phone consultation with the asthma nurse earlier this week (annoyingly I can’t use her name in this review and am having to resubmit this without it). In January I was automatically switched to an inhaler I didn't get on with (NHS England cost saving drive, not a clinical decision). I persevered for 6 months but it didn't suit me at all. I mentioned in my asthma review form that I wanted to switch back to Fostair and a call with the asthma nurse was scheduled for me. Not only was the nurse receptive to switching back me back to Fostair, but she listened to what the issue was and suggested the Fostair dry powder inhaler that I think will work even better for me. Definitely an example of exceeding my expectations as I came away with even more than I'd hoped for. I wanted to review as I'm sure people are quick to complain when they're not happy, so I want to be quick to compliment when I am. Good asthma nurses are worth their weight in gold. Thank you.

Review titled A Surgery That Cares
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by M.A.T - Posted on 18 April 2023
I have received good care from the surgery. A medical result of mine was of mild concern. A GP kindly let me know her plan of action, then, the result of this action. I feel very fortunate to be on the receiving end of this wonderful care with an organised and professional GP. Thank you.
