  1. Review titled Don't bother!

Rated 1 star out of 5

Needed an urgent doctors letter. Was told there was a two week waiting list. They said they would do the letter but did not. I contacted them several times and so did another family member. We were told the letter would cost us £50 as it was private work even though my mother is an NHS patient. They said they would send me an email when the letter was ready but never did. After that I was told there was a six to eight week waiting time for the letter and they did not seem to care that it was needed urgently. On the 23/02/2024 I had, had enough of playing this farcical waiting game, it got beyond a joke and I had waited over two weeks by then. I told them I would come to the surgery to pick the letter up on the following Monday. By this time I was frustrated with it. On the 26/02/2024 I turned up at the surgery and was told to go home and phone the secretaries, I had done this several times already and got nowhere. The receptionist said the secretaries wrote the letters at home and in their own time. Because I wanted the letter to send to a solicitor, among others I was then told that there would need to be a medical carried out at the cost of £130 and the solicitor would have to write to them asking for the letter to be sent. They have all the patients medical records there and they are up to date so why do they need to preform another expensive, private medical. It seemed to me like they kept moving the goal posts to suit themselves. When I asked to speak to the manager I was told s/he was not there. Before my mother went into the care home she had been with another doctor for years. The care home changed her doctor without consulting us and none of us are happy about it. We would rather she be moved back with her original doctor. Just for comparison at my GP surgery I can get a letter, it takes 2 to 7 days and it is free. If my GP can do it why is it they can not? I still do not have the letter and it now looks like I won't get it no matter how urgent it becomes. It is a disgrace.

  2. Review titled unprofessional

Rated 1 star out of 5

Gave Dr feedback in a calm and unthreatening manner, expressed that I felt that the Dr had let herself down in her duty of care to me as i had been given incorrect results twice and dr admitted reading someone elses notes by accident and then dr shrugged her shoulders at me when I expressed that i was really struggling with my health and would like some support. I then received a warning letter from practice manager without the practice manager investigating or following up why I had been given this feedback - which again shows a complete lack of duty of care. I could explain the full appointment but would need more space than this allows. It really was a waste of valuable NHS resources - I have never complained about an NHS service before but this really was a dreadful service.

  3. Review titled Refused to book me in.

Refused to let me see a GP as I'm registered in Nottingham even though the NHS website states: "You can receive emergency treatment from a GP surgery for up to 14 days – for example, if you fall ill while on holiday."

I am so pleased of having the best experience at the surgery. The ladies at the reception were absolutely brilliant. They were very polite, cheerful and willing to go that extra mile. The other patients seemed very happy too and said that the new management has made so much of improvements and it is somewhat the best surgery in Romford. I would agree the same too. The doctor whom I visited is simply cherry on the top. Well done new medical centre.

  5. Review titled Where are the GP’s?

Rated 1 star out of 5

I called for an appointment with the GP on 14Jul2022 and was given an appt for 19Jul2022 (very surprised that I got offered a date so soon, but I wasn’t complaining). I did not receive a telephone call on 19jul2022 but a text message to say the appt was canceled, I’ll be contacted by the surgery to reschedule. On 20Jul2022 I called and spoke to the receptionist who informed me that the dr i had an appt with on 19jul2022 did not come in to work on that day. I then asked to schedule an appt for the next available GP and was told there are no GP’s. I found this unbelievable, and explained that an appt 2 weeks or a month later whenever it was, I was happy to accept. I was again told that there are no GPs and she, the receptionist couldn’t tell me when next a GP would be in. How could a surgery be operating with no GPs? What happens to care of all the registered patients? You might as well close if you can’t provide the service.
