    Spoke to the secretary and she helped me get an appointment I’ve needed for a while and help pre book my appointment she was so nice and helpful

    The reception was rude and u can’t get an appointment been there for years was good in 2004 how things change we might as well have no doctors getting payed to send us to pharmacy Jokers

    Dear patient, thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that you have had a poor experience with the Practice. Our reception staff are trained to care navigate patients to local pharmacies for secondary care which include such symptoms as sore throats, sinusitis, acute otitis media, colds, shingles, impetigo, flu like illness. The NHS and GP Surgeries have changed a lot since 2004 with modern technology and aim to offer 50% telephone appointments and 50% face to face appointments. Again, we apologize for your experience and we will take onboard your comments. As this was posted anonymously we are unable to investigate this in more detail.     A few years ago, the surgery seemed to go through a bit of a bad patch, in common with many other GP surgeries. There appeared to be a fair bit of turn over of medical staff, and one got the impression that morale amongst the Reception staff, as well as the medical staff, could have been a lot higher. That was a few years back. Since then there has been a dramatic improvement all round. I don’t know what this is down to, but I suspect the Practice Manager must take a lot of the credit. GPs are no longer “passing through “, and, consequently, the doctors know their patients and vice versa, and one has the impression that they are genuinely pleased to see you. The Reception staff are invariably helpful, pleasant and professional, and I trust and value their advice when I ask for it. It used to be that I would have been reluctant to recommend the surgery, but I’d have no hesitation in doing so today.

    Dear Mr. Rubenstein, thank you so much for your positive feedback. Over the past few years we have had our problems with locum GP's and staff, but now we are in a position to have permanent GP's, ANP;s (Advanced Nurse Practitioner) Nurses and FCP (First Contact Practitioner) and reception staff, and because of this our patients can book a face to face or telephone appointments to see them. Our reception staff are there to help and signpost patients so that the get the best care they need. Thank you again for your lovely comments.     Always get an appointment when I need one and the doctors, nurses and receptionists are all very good at their jobs. I have no problems at all getting my prescriptions or getting tests done when something needs investigating. I have seen a physio and and breast health professional also in the last couple of months. My daughter has also been very well looked after here too. Fantastic medical centre. Thank you Elms

    I came in for an appointment which was dealt with. I asked for a new prescription for important medications. Hypertension, mental health, and Asthma. All of which are potentially life saving. He refused to issue a prescription saying he was dealing with the reason I came into the surgery today and i need to give 48 hour notice. In my opinion he was being pedantic and dissmissed me. I am appalled at this persons attitude , in my opinion he is not fit for this position. I am a retired nurse giving 47 years to the NHS and i always treated my patients with respect.

    I have been coming to the Elms for many years. They have never let me down once. A few years back there were one or two issues around poor customer care from temporary reception staff, but as of now the staff at this centre, from reception to the nurses and doctors, really are first class, especially given the workload they appear to have to deal with. They take a very patient-centred approach and my GP is extremely skilful. Thank you

    Seen nurse for my son injections, I was so worried but the nurse made the experience a lot easier then I fort. I asked if a gp could look at my son rash and the receptionist asked the doctors and was seen. The receptionist goes out the way to help every time. Really recommend this doctor surgery.

We know that it is a stressful for parents when their children are having their immunisations, and our nurses go out of their way to calm the child and most of the time the parent. We always make sure that children are seen if they are poorly and aim for them to be seen on the same day. Our reception staff are here to always help out patients.     Everyone complains but very few tell you a job well done. I saw a student doctor at the beginning of October becoz the nurse was sick. The following Friday he phoned me twice with my results and what to do going forward. The doctor then phoned me to confirm medication. A scan was requested a healthy eating consult and a excersize consult all within 3 weeks. I received a message requesting I phone and book a telephone consult with doctor to discuss the scan results. I was helped by the office personnel and given an approx time to expect call. Before the expected call I received another call from the doctors office different person but no less helpful. Very apologetic about the call having to be cancelled due to illness but to expect a call the following day and again gave me an approx time. The doctor called I had my result consult and again discussed the previous prescribed medication. All this happened within the space of 3 weeks and I can honestly say I am impressed. I very very rarely need or go to doctors and on this occasion they were there for me when I needed them. I know not everyone will agree but I can only comment on my personal experience. Thank you to all at elms for a job well done I really appreciated it x

    Dear Rena, thank you for your feedback it is much appreciated. We are a Practice who supports the University of Manchester Medical School and our Doctors Supervise Year 4 and 5 medical students, as well as Year 1 and 2 medical students who sit in with the Clinicians when they are consulting. Our year 5 students have their own clinics, and the GP will oversee the diagnosis. They will go above and beyond to follow up by ringing their patients if they have ordered tests for them. As with all Employers we have sickness, and we try our best to accommodate patient’s appointments when we have to re-arrange them. Thank you for taking the time to comment on your experience with us.
