The Nurse and Dr I had an appointment with today were really kind and put my mind at ease. Also had to phone reception today to book an appointment as I forgot to whilst at the surgery and the receptionist was very helpful and friendly and dealt with any queries I had. Such a helpful and welcoming surgery.

  4. Review titled Best experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Today I had a smear booked, I explained some of my symptoms that are worrying and the nurse did a few extra swab checks, and urine samples. She saw that I had a blood test that was needed, and I couldn’t get booked in until June for bloods. So she quickly took some bloods then and there for me! So appreciative as it means my next appointment all the results will be back! So kind

  5. Review titled Amazing practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Appifany - Posted on 29 April 2025

I have been with this surgery as long as I can remember , today was the dreaded smear app. I cannot thank enough to the nurse , she is the most bubbly , happy & reassuring nurse. I asked for some advice which she gave me and put my mind at ease about some problems I have been having. So often I see surgery’s being bashed online but I have never had a problem with cedars surgery or the staff , the reception staff are always so busy helping people but nothing is ever to much trouble, I have sadly witnessed staff being verbally abused which is not okay , the gp service is amazing and thorough and the nurses … well they are just amazing! I think to often we forget to thank the workers for the hard work and help they give us. Thank you , please don’t change. You have really brightened my day and made my appointment better by having a giggle ☺️

I had a call from Katie today to review my bloods and my blood pressure. She was very helpful and had a very calming voice. She put me at easy and made sure I had all the information I needed. Thank you Katie.

  7. Review titled Great Diabetes Support

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 28 February 2025

Since my type 2 diabetes diagnosis at Cedars Surgery, the support I have been offered has enabled me to reverse my condition and change my outlook on life dramatically. I joined the weekly walking group for 6 weeks at the start and although I couldn’t imagine that this would change anything, I’m amazed and glad to say that it did. Receiving helpful tips on the things I could do to make positive changes helped me with the overwhelm I had about all the information ‘out there’. Being part of a group with the same challenges and having this opportunity to connect with them to share our experiences once a week became something I looked forward to and when I started to apply the knowledge I was given I saw changes in my state of mind and my eating behaviours quite quickly. Not long after that I was invited to a series of indoor group sessions where I received more education on how food, sleep, stress all played a part in diabetes and was able to reflect on what I was doing and set my own simple goals for things I would change. I lost 2.5 stones in a few months and am now eating and exercising in the right way to build strength and lose a bit more bodyfat to aid the lowering of my blood pressure and am seeing great results. I’m so grateful for the support I received and for the wonderful team who put this all together for us. It has changed the direction my life was going in and instead of being frightened and worried, I am honestly quite excited about my future now and enjoy my days instead of dreading them and using junk food to deal with the feelings. And I look good again, which is great. My numbers which were of concern have all come down. Thanks again to the whole team behind this great initiative!

  8. Review titled Shame..

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Elizabeth - Posted on 24 February 2025

I’ve been registered here with my family for 5+ years and have found all staff to be beyond helpful and polite. Today the receptionist was quite the opposite of helpful and polite, I really hope she was a temporary employee who won’t be returning because her approach to patients is unprofessional and unacceptable. Not the type of personality that I want greeting me and my family at our most vulnerable times.

  9. Review titled Very Personable

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Merve - Posted on 22 January 2025

I received a referral from 111 as I was not sure that my registration had gone through. I was contacted by receptionist who gave me appointment with doctor at their clinic at local hospital. Prescription collected next morning. Comparison with previous surgery having to ring at two specified times to be 27th in the queue to find you had missed out or a telephone appointment if you are lucky.

Dear Patient Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. The team work very hard to provide the best access we can with the resources available. On this occasion it sounds like you were given an appointment at St. Mark's Hospital which is run by Maidenhead Primary Care Network on behalf of the practice. Best regards Alan Practice Manager

  10. Review titled No confidence in doctor

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 19 August 2024

At an appointment this month the doctor introduced herself as if we'd not met, despite me seeing her a couple on months previously. Two pieces of advice she gave contradicted my medical history , which she should have been aware of. Can't trust the doctor to give the correct advice or medication

Dear Patient Thank you for taking the time to submit a review via our service profile on NHS Digital. We would hope to be able to investigate and address concerns such as these with patients directly. Please contact the Practice Manager via reception in order for a thorough investigation to be carried out. The recent GP Survey showed that 96% of patients 'had confidence and trust in the healthcare professional they saw or spoke to during their last general practice appointment', this compares to 92% nationally. It is therefore important that we understand when this is not achieved so that we can investigate. Many thanks The Practice Manager
