Contact with GP was by txt. I was impressed by how quickly I received a response. It was very efficient: stated my eye problem; doctor replied almost immediately; I sent pictures of infected eye; diagnosis was made; prescription sent directly to pharmacy. The whole process was completed within a very short time…one to two hours from initial contact to having prescription in my hand. In addition, doctor attached links directing me to additional information re my problem which I found very useful.

I guess it is important to embrace those things that streamline the healthcare process, without losing the more important personal touches. You have given one good example of where this was possible. A kind, thoughtful practice. Good listening skills. Efficient. Helpful. Possible to see the same GP, this facilitating continuity and a helpful overview. Helpful administrative staff. Good nursing team.

I have recently been having a few problems and had an abnormal result following a blood test. My Doctor was away but I received a call from his secretary late in the afternoon to ensure I was being followed up by the appropriate medical support. I felt very cared for and, by the secretary's actions, continued the outstanding attention to patients. This was further demonstrated when I received a follow up call from my Doctor on his first day back enquiring as to my health and any need for any further actions. Knowing that you have such support helps enormously in terms of overall well being.

I am a new patient and have been welcomed by all staff. From receptionist secretary and doctor all have been most helpful and supportive. And so friendly.

An appointment yesterday. As usual received with warmth and listened to attentively. I received reassurance about the issue I came with and clear instructions about what to watch out for in future. Have been with Calcot for 30 years and my children have grown up during this time. We have had the usual health worries that most families will experience while children are young and have always been able to access any help I needed from the Calcot. I feel so blessed as I hear all the flack GPs are receiving. I now add that I went on to the next choice of 5 Q's and the first asks about telephone access. I rarely use the phone for surgery contact as the online platform is so efficient for appointments, prescription requests, my medical record and messaging the doctor or his secretary. Works for me! No need to phone.

I have regular treatment from the practice nurses who are consistently caring, competent and kind. I feel fortunate to be looked after by such nice people. In addition, I have been treated recently by the practice doctor. Contrary to the popular perception nationally, I have found it to be quite reasonable to make a suitable appointment, and feel that the attention given to me has been professional, thorough, kindly and appropriate; drawing on additional resources as necessary. I consider myself well cared for by the members of the Allan practice at the Calcot centre and I would like to record my appreciation. Thank you!

I have had a lot of interaction with the NHS this year after I was diagnosed with cancer. I finally gave in and downloaded the patient app! The app makes booking appointments very easy and I can see my records. When I have needed to phone emergency appointment I was given one straightaway after a brief chat with my GP's assistant.
