I have been so impressed with the Allen Practice since moving to the area in April 22. I have had an increasing number of health issues and feel blessed to be with such an exceptional practice. To make appointments you contact your Doctor's secretary resulting in shorter waiting times to actually be spoken to for appointments. The secretary knows who you are, is extremely personable and is efficient in dealing with enquiries. Messages are taken and passed on to other members of staff who do get back to you. I have always been able to be helped with either an in-person appointment or telephone appointment or a call-back. I have an exceptional GP who has provided me with a first class service. He is meticulous in his role and goes the extra mile to ensure that he diagnoses conditions accurately to provide the best treatment. He goes out of his way to contact other specialists and Consultants. He is extremely personable and an exceptional communicator explaining everything at an appropriate level for me as a patient. He offers me the opportunity to ask further questions and always has time to talk to me. Three of the consultants that I am under have all separately stated what an exceptional GP I have as he has contacted them regarding my treatment to ensure that I have complete wrap around care. In my GP's absence, I have also been seen by other GPs, who are equally as knowledgeable and efficient. The Practice team of nurses have worked well in conjunction with my GP to support my needs and I am seen by them regularly. All staff know me as a patient and liaise with each other to support my both my medical and emotional needs. The practice is efficient and appointments run on time. It is so refreshing to have found such an exceptional GP and Practice. This is such a difference to any of my previous experiences of GP Practices. Other GP surgeries could learn a lot by following the Allen Practice's model for patient services.

It is also warming to hear that hospital consultants recognise our virtues as a practice. The Allan Practice have always been efficient at providing our family with care. We have a small child and our regular Doctor plus other duty doctors and nurses have always been able to see us at short notice, or provide a telephone conversation. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Having relocated from Australia with numerous complex health conditions I was nervous to find a good GP. To my delight the Allan Practice have been exceptional. The team showed a genuine interest in my concerns and have delivered professional, supportive care. After a new diagnosis they were diligent thorough and shown great empathy ensuring I had the best medical care but also being very empathetic to my concerns. It’s a breathe of fresh air finding a team so attentive. Thank you for all your help and support, you gave me peace of mind during a difficult time. I cannot recommend this practice highly enough. My father suddenly outside the surgery in his vehicle two doctors my own included dropped everything in an attempt to save his life. They had to forcibly secure entry to the vehicle. As well as a superb GP who has greatly assisted me In a life threatening medical emergency I cannot express my thanks enough to their valiant attempts to save my father. It brings great comfort to know if they couldn’t save him no one could.

The Allan Practice Team has gone the “extra mile” to care for my wife since she was diagnosed with a terminal condition in February. Despite being encumbered by poor processes and disconnected systems they have found ways to make sure that my wife gets the best care possible. Friendly and helpful people all doing their best within a NHS system that needs overhauling to retain the good parts and get rid of waste, duplication, rework and inefficiency.

Family members have been patients of the practice for nearly 4 decades and continue to receive a first-class service. Recently I suffered a fractured humerus followed by a planned hip replacement. All staff members are friendly, listen carefully, and assess the situation efficiently. I have received excellent diagnoses, advice and on-going support and have no hestitation in recommending the practice.

Took my nearly 2 year old for an ear infection today. The Dr was so kind with her and took the time to give her a sticker and pretend to do the checks on me first so she wasn’t suspicious of anything he was doing. Considering how busy our doctors are I was very grateful that he didn’t rush it and really did everything to make sure my little one wasn’t afraid.

I have been a patient of the Allen Practice for more years than I care to recall and had three separate GP’s. All have been excellent and the ethos, friendliness and efficiency of the practice is excellent. Thoroughly recommended.
