    Developed a chest infection on Thursday afternoon and contacted the surgery at 8.50 am on Friday morning. I received a phone call within 20 minutes and had a prescription by midday. I had a prearranged copd review today which was very thorough and sympathetic. The nurse was very efficient and asked the duty doctor to examine my chest. I left with a prescription for a follow on course of antibiotics and all within an hour. Excellent and compassionate service.

    Can’t fault the medical staff or receptionists. Always do responsive and willing to help And support my 88 year old parents to keep them in their own home. Many many thanks

    Last week I was referred to a physiotherapist practice in Stourport because of crippling back problems. The physiotherapist I am referred to is based in Stourport with access via two flights of stairs, no lift, no disability access, no parking with nearest parking 5 minutes walk away. Obviously the premises I've been referred to have not been checked for disability access

    I have had to visit the practice several times over the last three weeks and I must say from the initial check patient in to seeing medical staff the level of service has been extremely high. I arrived at the surgery five minutes before each appointment and each time went into see medical staff at exactly the time I was given.

    I have always found this Practice faultless. However, it is extremely frustrating that a GP telephone appointment can no longer be made on Patients’ Access. Yes, a form can be filled in on line and be analysed hence someone will get back to you with an appointment. it is now nigh on impossible to see your named GP or preferred GP. There is no facility either to book a GP appointment for a future date.

    Dear Mary, I'm sorry to read you are disappointed that you are no longer book a GP appointment via Patient Access. When submitting a triage, if you ask to see a specific GP, this will of course be arranged for you, as we encourage continuity where possible. Unfortunately, we were experiencing a high number of inappropriate bookings and patients who did not attend for their appointment when the online bookable facility was in use and we do not have capacity to waste appointments.     Normally an amazing doctors surgery, can't fault them in the slightest. All the team are amazing. However, today when the GP rang me they were just incredibly rude and condescending... as a patient who has been through a lot in the last 12 months with frequent hospital visits, I expected a little bit more understanding and care... instead they were just rude to the point of putting me off wanting to go to the doctors again for fear of being told its all in my head, and there is nothing wrong with me when I know my own body and I know when something isn't right. I dont go to the doctors very often, I know they are very busy, but when I do its because I'm genuinely not very well. Every other time, they are amazing... just not today! The flu clinic at the weekend were amazing. Very well organised, and super efficient, staff were amazing.

    I recently attended the new medical centre for the first time since opening with a severe back . The self registration system is fine but lacking the room number and waiting area you need to be in. When you're struggling to walk or even stand for a length of time you have to wait in a queue to ask the receptionist where you should be waiting or which room the doctor,nurse etc is working from and also the screens calling patients are not visible from all seating areas, as names of patients are not called ( just next patient please) . The individual on the self registration system needs to be full information of room number and waiting area grounds floor or first floor

    Dear Patient Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately, there is an issue with the check in screens and the system provider are working to try and rectify this. Until such time as the issue is rectified, we have a printed list just above the screen which tells you which waiting room to use. For privacy reasons, we do not use a call system that announces patients name over a loud speaker. We have tried to position call screens so that they are viewable by all, however, if you do not see your name when called, the clinician will come out and collect you from the waiting room.     I have a fear of having my bloods taken and my veins close up as soon as I’m a few minutes away from the needle going into my arm. As a result it’s always a painful and lengthy process while nurses try to find a suitable vein. This time, upon my request my clinician went straight to my hand where the veins are more prominent and calmly distracted me whilst taking 3 phials of blood. Even the sharp scratch wasn’t as bad and I couldn’t feel the blood draining out, which is another part of the process that usually makes me feel light headed. So a big thank you to the lady who treated me for her warm bedside manner and her professionalism!

    I came to the surgery today and had a smear . The nurse was amazing, put me at ease . She talked through everything, and made sure I was completely comfortable. Not a great thing to have, but made easier by her manner . Thankyou

    After my mistake of forgetting to take the relevant forms for a blood test this HCA went out of her way to fit me in the next day for the tests required by the hospital within a few days. She saw me promptly and has an efficient but very friendly way of treating her patients which makes what could be an unpleasant experience into a bearable one.
