    I contacted the surgery online on their request to arrange appointment for medication review, and over a week later I had to contact by phone as they had not responded to my request

    How ridiculous that online repeat prescription requests can only be made during business hours. What is the point of that restriction apart from to make the process more difficult for the patient and encourage them to call instead.

    I have an enlarged prostate taking medication & was getting pain in my groin & lower back which can be related to prostate, I sent request on St John’s medical centre website asking for either appointment or phone consultation. Next day receptionist phoned me and said doctor had got me an appointment for physio, what on earth has that got to do with an enlarged prostate symptoms.

    The receptionist was very helpful to help me with a health issue, to help me to contact the right person who could help. The receptionists are most kind and always do all they can to help. I just also wanted to praise all the staff working in this practice. I feel highly supported by a skilled and empathetic team where helping, in the best way they can, is at the heart of this practice. I cannot praise them enough and just to say a huge thank you.

    I have a second degree burn on my leg and was told by my doctor it needed to be dressed by the nurse for a couple of weeks which was fine but when I tried to get an appointment I was to I have to wait 7 days for an appointment bearing in mind I have diabetes and recovering from cancer it's just not on I will do it my self this happened today 26.06.2023

    An excellent telephone consultation concerning a problem with my blood pressure resulting in an almost immediate one to one consultation with a doctor and a modification to my prescriptive medication If the practioner had not been so professional with his questioning I feel something would have been missed as I don’t give up information that easily! Well done and keep up the good work

    Dear Patient, I am sorry to learn of your experience when trying to contact the practice by phone. The telephone system is computerised and should automatically open at 8.00 am, putting all the callers ringing at this time in a queue. I am sorry that this did not happen for you until 8.01 and would like to investigate this further. Please contact me at surgery so that I can raise this with the telephone supplier. I will also be able to check on the accuracy of your queueing position and the reason for this. This will enable us to put measures in place to ensure this does not happen again.     Spoke with the practice pharmacist who was most polite and explained very clearly the reason why I am to start taking medication and what the medication will actually do, overall very pleased with the conversation I had with the gentleman.
