  2. Review titled Brilliant doctors and staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Sandra Netherwood - Posted on 04 October 2023

We recently had the unfortunate and very sad loss of a close family member at home. St George's Medical Centre doctor and staff were extremely helpful and timely in their approach to numerous home visits needed. Everyone involved from the practise was compassionate and caring. I would recommend this practise to anyone. Many thanks

  3. Review titled Simply The Best

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I have been with St George’s for around 10 years. In all that time they have been excellent, without ever letting me down. The GP’s, nurses, reception and dispensary staff - everyone who works there - are professional, courteous, kind and empathetic. I’m in my 60’s and I can say, hand on heart, they are the very best medical practice I have ever encountered. We are so very lucky to have them. They are much appreciated.

  4. Review titled Don’t expect too much

Rated 2 stars out of 5

I must go to a different surgery to other reviewers! Thankfully I don’t need to go often, which is just as well. MyGP, although it has its place, seems to be used as a preventative to stop you seeing or talking to a human. You ask to be called and you just get appointments sent through when they’ve not checked if you can make it - what an exercise in time wasting! Even though you take the time to fill in symptoms/issue, when you do get a call you get asked what’s wrong, clearly MyGP notes aren’t being read. I don’t know how anyone gets to see an actual doctor these days. The staff that I have encountered recently have been, especially one of the nurses, rude and impatient. I sat and listened to one of the dispensary staff huff and puff at an elderly gentleman who was just trying to get his prescriptions sorted. This surgery has completely gone downhill since I first joined it over 15 years ago

  5. Review titled Positive experience at this GP Practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I am currently having chemotherapy in the Practice oncology unit which means I don’t have to travel backwards and forwards to Addenbrookes and I would like to thank all the Practice staff and the staff who come out from Addenbrookes to administer the chemo. It has made a stressful and worrying experience so much easier to bear and without exception the staff I encountered were kind and went out of their way to help me. Thank you

  6. Review titled Working with PCN Counselor

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 15 June 2022

I have been working with the PCN Counselor since November 2021 to help with my drug addiction. I smoked 30-40 joints a day and thought quitting was impossible. after a few conversations with the counsellor she had a great understanding of my habit and how I work, she set personal goals to hit each week and I was free from weed in January 2022. She was terrific at keeping me focused on my goals and encouraged me every step of the way. She continued to keep in contact afterwards to make sure I was ok and discuss methods to stop the cravings. The support was amazing and would recommend anyone with personal demons seek help. she was not judgemental but was caring and knowledgeable. Now we are in June and I have never been happier, Me and the family really thank her.

  7. Review titled I could not ask for a better practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

St. George’s Medical Center is the best practice I have ever had. The staff are professional and compassionate and go the extra mile for their patients, each and every time. AskmyGP is a great service and free’s up time for the hardworking doctors, nurses and allied professionals and for routine and non urgent appointment’s it’s really easy to use. I have never had a problem getting an appointment and with the different options available, it fits around commitments that I have. I have huge admiration for the staff, who ensure that patient care is at the centre of everything they do. I cannot rate the practice high enough.

  8. Review titled Excellent Care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by JULIE GODSMARK - Posted on 30 May 2022

I had an issue with some paperwork for some tests which i had not received from the local hospital. I phoned the practice to see if they could help as this needed completing on this day. The reception team were extremely helpful, providing assistance in providing a later appointment so I could chase up the paperwork to be able to provide on my visit. I cannot fault their prompt, caring compassionate support, along with my GP, who was trying to assist me to be able to get the tests completed. The GP's and staff at our practice are always willing to help and assist the patients, no matter how busy they are. They always go above and beyond and I cannot thank them enough for the services they provide.
