  1. Review titled Not recommended

Rated 1 star out of 5

I can never get an appointment to see a doctor the only people I get to speak with is a receptionist. Who advises to go to dr iq then consultation, take photo and wait for absolutely nothing as they advise you go to 111. What is the point in being registered and you need treatment. I have not spoken to a doctor but yet I have been turned away unseen even through their app I’m in a great deal of pain and waiting to speak to a clinician From 111 It’s disgusting

  2. Review titled Great service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I had an appointment this morning. Attended 5 minutes before my appointment and was immediately seen. The GP was kind, professional and curious, asking lots of questions and offered me the opportunity to ask questions as well. I was immediately given a diagnosis and a prescription, and given a walk-in x-ray appointment at a nearby hospital. Within an hour, I had my prescription and completed an x-ray. This was the ideal visit to a doctors and is much appreciated given how often negative news of the NHS is pushed.

  3. Review titled Unprofessional and rude, shouts at you

Rated 1 star out of 5

Very rude repeatedly, removed me from practice without notice and without giving me my prescription, which the Hospital Doctor prescribed. Left without medicine, no reply to emails about my medicine.

  4. Review titled No support

Rated 1 star out of 5

I called to have support about Mental Health, not a emergency, but I was looking for advise how ta have support for my husband, and on the call the operator did not give me the chance to explain the situation and said: ''Call tomorrow from 8am to booking appointment with doctor.'' I wondered if it was my husband on the call, him in the current situation being treated this way, he probably wouldn't return the call the next day. Mental health is something very serious and my first impression is that this is not something important for the Silverlock team.

  5. Review titled Not able to see any doctor or get any help

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 23 April 2023

I have experienced a very heavy chesty cough with chest pain and short breath, phoned the practise on Thursday and Friday at 8am and both times I was told I couldn't see a doctor as they were fully booked...how is it possible?? Practise open at 8am and they take booking for the day only... Only thing I was told was to call 111 which doesn't help for a quick diagnosis. I was really seek and it is unacceptable that you are not able to see or speak with a doctor...this would never happen in another country!

  6. Review titled Dismayed and disappointed

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Esther - Posted on 17 January 2023

On Monday at 7.45 am I made on online request via Dr1Q for a doctor to ring me as I was suffering severe back pain( I already suffer with chronic arthritis), by 4 pm I hadn’t had a call so I phoned to be told I was on the list for a call , it didn’t happen. This morning ,Tuesday, I phoned at 8.15 to be told that the best thing was for the receptionist to book me again for a call today and that I could expect a call this afternoon . No call and then at 5pm I noticed a message had been left to say that as I had a face to face call booked for today then they would cancel the telephone consultation. I phoned immediately as I had not been told about this face to face appointment and anyway as I’d told them each time I’d spoken to them I can’t walk with the pain so wouldn’t have been able to attend anyway. There was no explanation for them not telling me about the face to face appointment that they had booked although from the receptionists reaction it was obvious that they had forgotten to let me know . This surgery has gone downhill fast since they became part of the American private healthcare company.

  7. Review titled Terrible service and unacceptable behaviour

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 19 January 2023

I had a booked appointment at this surgery with gp who would need to see me in person. First I was waiting more than I should although I went from work to be on time. No apology from staff or any update why we wait so long and than when I went to ask I’ve been told that GP didn’t showed up! And they are figuring out what to do. Than when replacement dr see me she didn’t had idea what to do and on all that mess I’ve been told that they gonna call me today! Basically I’m gonna go forward with formal complaint! This is unacceptable and as far as they concerned I can just die because of lack of care and this half professional behaviour. In my entire life I didn’t had this kind of experience anywhere!

  8. Review titled it is impossible to book an appointment

Rated 1 star out of 5

I called several times to book appointments because my kids were unwell. Nothing serious but the nursery suggested them to be visited to the GP. The answer was always the same, no free slots if not in 3 weeks time and the suggestion is to go to A&E Then you go to A&E and the doctors tell you that the GP should have seen you because A&E is just for emergencies I am very disappointed!

  9. Review titled The most horrendous practice I have ever experienced

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 23 September 2022

“Rant warning” So apparently my fibromyalgia and extreme fatigue (a completely shattered nervous system due to severe trauma) is no longer “active” at my Gp practice because I haven’t had an appointment in ages … their words not mine. I have physiotherapy, see a neuro consultant at st Thomas, acupuncture, Ayurveda and CBT. Am on a waiting list for an in patient 3 week course of specialist treatments at st Thomas. Have spent weeks in bed unable to cook, bathe or go to work. Have never been given an appointment from the practice. They have years of letters and reports about my health and I cannot for the life of me get them to see me. Now I need a signature from the GP and they say I have to pay …£30. Have I mentioned my wages have been decreased due to a tax rise for the NHS ?! I said I won’t pay, please give me my letter and my neuropsychiatrist will sign it for free … nope … got a call today, we will book you an appointment to come see the doctor but you have to pay the £30 … I said, no thank you. Give me my letter without being signed. They say, they have signed the letter and won’t give it back … this is mind blowing, insulting ans outrageous.

    Review titled Silverlock Medical Centre

    Replied on 29 November 2022

Dear Patient, Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback about your experience at Silverlock Medical Centre. Firstly, we are sorry that you have had a negative experience with us and would like to reassure you that we are consistently working to improve the services that we offer to our patients. I understand you are concerned about your medical condition being noted on the system as inactive. At Silverlock Medical Centre we use a computer system called EMIS web and all conditions have a pre-programmed time of remaining active on a patients record unless that has been overridden by a clinician. Unfortunately, this does mean that on occasion a patient’s medical condition can be incorrectly labelled as a past condition in their record, this is a system issue that we currently do not have any control of. However, I would encourage you to speak to the Practice Manager who can rectify this for you with the support of our Lead GP, Dr Ibrahim Mukhtar. Please contact Aliye Aydin, Practice Manager on the usual number or via email at souccg.silverlockclinic@nhs.net. With regards to your request for a letter, unfortunately this is a private service and not covered under the NHS. Therefore any requests for letters or medical reports are a chargeable service, whilst we understand that we have patients who may not be able to afford this service, we do not encourage patients to use this service regardless of affordability. The reason being that if there is a company or public sector department that require a letter or medical report for any of our patients they will often request this and cover the cost. I can confirm that if the letter has been written for you by the GP, then this service has been fulfilled and the practice would not release the letter regardless of the signature as the work has been carried out in this instance. Of course you are welcome to request a letter from your secondary care clinician if they are happy to provide this service to you free of charge. I am sorry if you were not made aware of the charge for the letter when making your request, usual procedure is to request payment for the service prior to processing the request and asking the GP to complete the letter or report. I will ensure this is fed back to the team to avoid such an issue in the future. I would like to take this opportunity to let you know that you can access your medical records via our surgery app Dr iQ but verifying your identity. I hope that this response has been useful, if you do have any other issues or concerns please do contact Aliye Aydin, Practice Manager directly so that she can look into these for you. Best wishes Danielle Caswell Regional Manager

Thank you to the lovely nurse who did my blood test this morning. Very experienced and reassuring and made it all stress-free (I am usually very anxious for blood tests!).
