I spoke to the pharmacist about my medication and wanting to come off a tablet. The next day I had a call from the surgery giving me a telephone consultation with the Doctor. A few days later the Doctor listened to what I had to say, asked me some questions and said I would need to be weaned off this tablet, he told me how to take it and sent a prescription through to the pharmacy I use. The next morning the new medication was delivered. Communication is vital in all scenarios but I think this has been exceptional.

I have been calling since last week for an appointment for my child logging accurX and also by phone a week later I managed to get an appointment. The phone call lasted less than two minutes where the doctor was speaking to my 16-year-old daughter and totally had the wrong patient. I just cannot believe the amount of money that doctors are paid yet. You can only get an appointment if you tell them it’s mental health or work in a doctor surgery and I cannot believe the way the Saddlers Health center is run. I certainly would not be recommending.

They have such a lovely team, from the reception to the Doctor attending to you. Well organised and composed. To request for appointment might be difficult most time, but I think they triage based on complexity of patients condition and also try to sort for alternative to help you in time. The environment is well aesthetic and welcoming.

I was unavoidable in uk for longer than I expected due to family health problems. I live in a EU country. I needed emergency medication and had a letter from my own GP detailing medications there was so much form filling and waiting 4 days passed by without medication. When it was prescribed it was only for 2 weeks and some of the medication was a generic version of what I should have had, one of the items was very important. I thought it would be a simple process, we have an EHIC card, but it was not, the system for getting emergency meds needs to be re thought

I went into the hospital as it was my first time there. I admit I was about 5 minutes late, but when I got to the GP I could not find the right one. When I got into the reception (this is about 5 minutes late) and the receptionist was on a call, she did not acknowledge my presence and she did not say anything to me. My sister and I waited there for about another 6 minutes while she was on the call. Then after her call, she went on to tell us that I was 10 minutes late and the nurse would not be able to see me, and that’s why I should have used the self service. I had never been to that GP, that was my first time there, there was no acknowledgment of my presence, she didn’t even look up from her screen when we came in front of her. It was very disrespectful, because she did speak to a staff after her call before she even spoke to us. This happened on the 20th of february 2025 around 4:55 pm.

All patient feedback is important to our surgery as we use this to review ways of any improvements to our service. I will review the posters and notices in reception to ensure guidance for patients attending our surgery have a clear direction to our surgery front reception as we are a shared building, I will also review the self check in screen notices. I do appologise that the reception staff were on a call at the time of your arrival and will speaking to all staff regarding ensuring patients are acknowledged. I needed to have my ears syringed to facilitate a hearing test. This needed two visits, one per ear. For the second visit, the syringe machine was broken but the surgery was good enough to call me to tell me not to attend. Subsequently visit for the second ear was excellent.
