    My 85 year old mother received very good service from the doctor and it was her wish to send a thank you a few weeks later. She also had a couple of brief questions about ongoing treatment including whether it is safe to continue with health food supplements with her new prescribed medication and we included these brief queries in a note with the thank you card which I dropped in at reception of the Crookhorn practice. I was told by the reception that I would have to phone in with her questions (mother can't hear well at all so using the phone is very difficult) at 10 a.m. So if anyone is wondering why the phones are always busy and you are number 48 in the queue you now know why! Mother's queries are not urgent and we thought a written note would allow for a GP to respond at a more convenient time to them and not clog up phone lines for poorly people in need of a more urgent response. Not good access for the elderly or people with hearing disabilities who would like to retain their independence.

    This was an appointment for health check, my treatment was fine and as always the staff at the surgery were very pleasant to speak to. Just wish it was possible to be able to book a Drs appointment at the surgery as a pain trying to get through at the right time by phone and found 'system online' irritating to use.

    Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that you have been unable to gain access to a Doctor when needed. We would advise that currently all areas of the health service have capacity issues and demand is often more than we can safely provide.

    Very efficient. I had no wait. The nurse explained what needle she used and why. The only discrepancy was.......I was told initially to fast for 12 hours before, but the nurse said that was not a fasting blood test so.......one hungry patient. All good though. Mixed messages it seems??

    Non fasting blood test organised over the phone one hour before appointment time, I arrived, was seen to on time, treated very professionally and pleasantly. Just like it should be done!!

    The doctor was friendly, welcoming, reassuring and informative. The reception staff were very helpful in moving an appointment and were friendly and polite.

    Arrived early, and went into appt for bloods early. Nurse nice lady, was very efficient, and bloods taken with very little pain, and not much bruising. Fine.

    The nurse i had a consultation with was honest and up front with me. But I'm still waiting for a phone call from a doctor, to confirm the nurses diagnosis.

    E-Consult worked fine and got a helpful response next day. Went for blood tests and Nurse said they would be online next day, they are still not there and nor are any tests from past 6 years, have latest version of Nhs App and even if all clear, you need that reassurance and with them will inevitably worry and end up contacting surgery again.
