The doctor was friendly, patient and efficient and even though it was a relatively small / silly thing maybe that I was consulting about I felt listened to and well cared for. It was really appreciated and I feel very reassured now, a really great service. My previous experiences at this practice have also been excellent - a painfree smear test by a nurse who was a brilliant communicator, and an emergency appointment with another doctor who was brilliant both on the phone and in person. Thank you Penrose!

The staff are amazing at Penrose Surgery, I can't recommend the clinicians enough. I recently had a couple of appointments with a doctor regarding my mental health and I was met with a very understanding, compassionate approach.I was really anxious about talking to someone, but I was treated with dignity and respect. The clinicians here are extremely helpful and I feel more comfortable reaching out regarding my health overall.

A refreshingly efficient service from friendly & helpful staff: from answering my questions before registration, to the registration process, to booking an appt & the actual appointment itself & follow up! Best GP experience I have ever had :)

It was my first time visiting and I was amazed how they treated you with care , I arrived on time and my appoint given was just within the time I was given no long wait and assistance was great

All too often we are confronted (not greeted) by Receptionists but not on this occasion. I think it was Pau***e who dealt with me on Monday evening when I visited Penrose Street. What a delightfully welcoming and helpful lady. Please pass on my gratitude to her for treating me with humour and efficiency and for renewing my faith in a group of gatekeepers who generally get a bad rap.

our family has registered with many different medical practices as we lived and worked in different area within the uk during the past many years, and as for penrose surgery, this is what we have to say: the staff was pleasant, helpful, although obtaining a face-to-face appointment was not as easy as it used to be after the covid-19 pandemic. during the past few months, my wife suddenly become very ill with many different unknown symptoms, her conditions are still being diagnosed and tested to determine the actual cause. It is therefore lately we have more reasons to interact with the Surgery and noticed that the staff was helpful and caring, the doctors were incredibly professional and informative. Each time they met, my wife received thorough examination, they shown genuine concerns and true commitments to help solving my wife’s health issues. This morning was no exception; in fact one of the doctors has effectively saved my wife’s life. after thorough examination the doctor quickly booked an urgent appointment and timely referred my wife to the local hospital where she was found to have a stroke in the same afternoon. even the hospital staff remarked that my wife was lucky that the gp was able to spot this in well advance; they said this is the first time a gp was seen to be faster than a&e in saving a patient from fatal consequences. I am writing on behalf of my wife and my family to express our sincere gratitude to the doctors and the practice staff for the excellent level of care and service my wife and my family have received. forever grateful.

It's extremely difficult to get in touch with this practice. They don't reply at the phone! It take ages to have a reply via email. they will not give you any in person appointment and they try to solve everything via online quizzes and emails. They are not prepared and most of all they don't care about patients, they are always rude and reply in a non polite way. I feel extremely unsafe with this practice I cannot count on them at all.
