    I have been trying to get an appointment for my child. Does anyone ever get through at 8 o’clock to this surgery, I have never been able to. Then if you do get through you are told to do an e consult, but the the consult is missing. If you are doing it for a child you have to link the parents contact number, which I did last time with the receptionist, this did not work. Why do you advertise taking on new patients when you can’t see the patients you already have on your books. Also being told by receptionist to call 111 for the child or come down to reception at 8am is not very good patient practice. I think you really do need to get your act together for the safety of the patients you have on your books. I look forward to hearing your comments on the above.

    I work in the NHS and often hear from patients that they can't get hold of their GP practice. I find it very hard to ignore these comments when my own personal experience is exactly the same with this practice. I have often resorted to private prescriptions for minor ailments and have experienced delays in treatment due to the simple fact of not being able to get through to anybody. Lines are always busy and the e consult service very frequently at 9am in the morning asks you to log in the next day. I have no doubt the clinicians in the practice are likely to be great but if your patients can't access your service then there is a real problem to be addressed.

    I’ve had two relatively minor concerns about my 4 month old daughter in the past few weeks and on both occasions, the doctors at Oak Vale have been really understanding, helpful and thorough. They’ve gone beyond expectation on both occasions and I’m very grateful to them for that.

    After trying many times to get an appointment, my husband had been informed to either attend practice at 8am to register a call back or failing that go to A&E or call 111! Why is it so difficult to get an appointment!! I would not recommend this practice to anyone!

    I and my family have been at this practice for several years, this practice has an Incestuous drive for profit over genuine over patient care, I know many of the doctors do a good job but behind that, this practice is one of the top earning practices in the region for should I call the rewards from pharmaceutical representatives, so this mean any given opportunity to prescribe medication they will, I will say taking such monies certainly puts a different spin of a persons genuine care for that patient, this information is available via uk government both my children have been given medication in the past 12 months that really should not have been given or a lot further checks and information should have been given to myself around potential effects but before it was what I would call thrown at my family with the attitude this will solve the problem, when I questioned this with the practice team I would what I describe as slapped down and questioned what do I really know above our practice, well I will say I know my children and both has suffered due to your practice not giving myself the Information needed for my children's best care, If you notice on all the negative reviews on different platforms very few are replied too but good or ok reviews are given a response, the amount of negative comments around the attitude towards patients concerns is shocking, I can certainly vouch for this in my dealing with the office staff, please do you homework when dealing with this practice, ask all the questions you need to make sure it is correct for you, again I will say it is only over the last few years I feel this practice has gone like this so I am sure some of the GPs still in this practice are great but when its about ill patients it should be care and empathy at every interaction not attitude and profit, this is my experience

    We are sorry to hear about your experience. Please be assured, all general practices in Liverpool prescribe in accordance with the Medicines Management Team within Liverpool Place, we do not receive funding via pharmaceutical companies or pharmaceutical representatives. In addition, the practice is part of a network of 8 general practices who employ a team of pharmacists who assist with prescribing and share best practice in line with NICE guidelines. We do not recall any complaint concerning medication for children and strongly urge you to contact the practice so we can investigate and address your concerns directly and provide you with a personal response.

    I have tried for over a week to get an appointment or even to get in touch via the website. Every day it days there are no appointments and no on line consultations. Its an appalling situation. I went into the practice weeks ago to give a form in and there were no patients there! How do i get in touch. I may add the phone lines are always engaged.

    Dear Patient we are sorry you were not able to get an appointment. We do offer patient on line appointments and e consultations each day as alternatives to phoning the practice, unfortunately during the winter months the appointments can get booked up more quickly. If you can let us know of any problems at the time we will always try to help, it may mean offering you an appointment with another suitable clinician if we do not have any GP appointments left.

    I rang at 8.05 received call back at 9.06 and was sitting before the GP at 11.10 this surgery are really on top of their game, I didn’t feel hurried my ailments were discussed and I was examined all very professionally, brilliant service

    I have been a patient at oakvale for 31 years and they have always been very helpful. I had a triage appointment by phone yesterday after an eight day wait and the doctor refused to discuss more than one issue with me, she said only one issue per phone call appointment, if you need to discuss anything else, make another appointment!!! So another eight day wait…if I need to discuss two things, do I make two appointments? What a waste of time and money for the NHS, very disappointing and frustrating.

    We are sorry to hear you did not have a good experience. Hopefully over the 31 years you have been with the practice you have had the opportunity to discuss more than one issue during a consultation. We do not know what happened on this occasion, and it may have been on a day when we had an increase in patients to see, but we will be happy to investigate and speak to you directly about it if you wish to contact our Reception Supervisor she will be happy to assist.

    Receptionist very welcoming and informative I mentioned about a bite or sting on my leg I was worried about going into my system she spoke to the doctor who saw me and gave me antibiotics. He was very helpful and explained why I should take antibiotics. He put my mind at ease. The practise is clean and the standard of hygiene is exceptional.
