  1. Review titled Great experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

After being unable to be seen by our usual GP during the afternoon, we were referred by 111 to this practice for an out of hours visit. The visit was for my 4 year old daughter. We were seen quickly upon arrival even though we were very early. The doc we saw was fantastic with our little one, really friendly & welcoming and didn’t bat an eye at her investigating everything in the room! This was my first experience using this service & was very impressed. It can be difficult taking kids for doctor visits, but this chap was absolutely brilliant with her. Thank you so much & keep up the great work 😊

  2. Review titled Excellent personal and professional service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I had a problem for several days which was getting worse. I arrived at the Walk In Centre just after 8am and was seen at 9am. The single receptionist was efficient and had to deal with new patients continuously. I would say that there was only a flat small slot for me to hand in my details for her to read and that one could only see two very large pc screens with a person behind them, not that welcoming. There was another position to the side, not occupied with the same view of two large screens. A sign clearly said that the receptionist could not say how long a wait would be, unfortunately not everyone was aware of this. It became apparent that some people were to see the nursing staff for review and some for bloods. It could have been clearer for patients that some people might be called 'sooner' as they were only having bloods taken by a committed phlebotomist. There was a short corridor from the 'nurses' to the waiting area. Although the voice calling the patients was clear, there was no person seen. One gentleman with a difficult name had noise avoidance ear phones on and he missed his call twice, and only realised on the third call. Seeing someone might have made people look up to listen and take of ear phones. There was very good seating and an nhs screen to watch. My nurse was excellent, explaining in detail. Her examination was physical and verbal and appropriate to my needs and appropriate prescription given. She also advised on another medication that I was taking that I should not stop suddenly due to rebound effects. I felt very validated and supported. I left with a perfect outcome. Excellent old fashioned nursing care, totally holistic and caring.
