I had a thorough examination by the doctor which the results far outweighed the extra time taken and left me feeling much happier.

Over the years I have consistently has issues with securing an appointment. I’ve survived various iterations of the appointment systems- which have all generally been poor and not fit for purpose. I booked online at 8am as directed. I requested a telephone appointment however was told that only face to face were available. This was an issue for me, due to mobility issues, however I accepted the appointment. I got a taxi there which arrived late. I was in the surgery 5minutes past my appointment time and logged into the system at 6 minutes past. The GP refused to see me as I was late! Considering the last time I was at the GP I had to wait 40 minutes as they were “running over” the the decision not to see me seemed grossly unfair. It a practice that doesn’t really care about the patients- it’s more of a conveyor belt style of care. No personal touch at all, very “computer says no”. No one to take a view or adopt a common sense approach. On top of that the office manager and deputy are never in, so you don’t really have a way to escalate concerns. I’ve been with the surgery for 20 years and service over the last 5 has really gone downhill. I would recommend that you seek another practice, any other practice as the service and care is very poor. Avoid at all costs.

Very helpful and efficient in helping me obtaining an appointment and then those appointments were dealt with without too long a delay and any further tests that may have been necessary were sorted very efficiently !

I submitted an appointment request online 8 o'clock and 30 minutes later the surgery rang offering me an appointment the same day. The doctor I saw was professional, patient, helpful and friendly. He took his time discussing my medical problem with me and explained everything. He also listened to my concerns. At the end of the consultation he asked if I had any questions or any more concerns. He advised that if my prescribed medication did not help my medicel problem, to get back in touch with the surgery. I was very happy with my consultaion and the outcome 100%.

Last day of the year, my Asthma review was due. Being diagnosed with Emphysema earlier this year, I was advised to stay on the same medication that I'd been using for my Asthma. I received a call at the beginning of December from our Surgery's Pharmacist, who asked a few questions on how I'd been etc. I've been very breathless and I'm limited on what I can do! I was given a 3in1 new Inhaler called Trellegy, that works with Salbutamol rather than my faithful blue Ventolin inhaler. So I used to take 3 Inhalers, now I only take 2, my breathing it's so much better, I'm certainly not struggling as much and last night I had a full 4hrs sleep 😀 The review went well. My peak flow reading has been as low as 180 - on the earlier medication my peak flow was averaging around 190-240 I have always had Asthmatic Symptoms from birth, so I'm used to taking my peak flow - from 18+ it's always been around 420..... At my review I reached 420 on my peak flow, twice!!😀 I've been at this Surgery since 1966, I have no issues, as all the staff are polite, informative and friendly! I have recommended them to all my friends, who have issues with their surgeries, "Come to our Surgery" Come and join us!!
