Review titled Great doctor
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 02 February 2024
Great service with a very swift call back after completing an online consultation. We then got an appointment really quickly for my son. The doctor was very personable and helpful and listened carefully to my concerns. I was really impressed by his attitude and left feeling very reassured by his advice

Nothing ever works. Today the self check in wasn't working neither was the qr code check in. One person on reception. Was 15 minutes late for my appointment despite arriving in plenty of time.

Review titled Rapid response for an appointment
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Paul - Posted on 28 December 2023
After feeling very poorly over Christmas with what I thought may have been covid (it wasn't however), I applied for an appointment via the nhs app to try and see a doctor and was advised via that app that the response could take up to 5 days. I was shocked however when I received a phone call less than 30 minutes later and offered a choice of appointment times from immediately (which wasn't convenient for me) or in 1 hour time which better suited me. I was checked over and advised that I had a viral infection and was prescribed the appropriate antibiotics as well as several test kits to check the other family members suffering similar symptoms in different stages of the illness. My prescription was sent electronically to Boots in Avonmeads and was ready within 10 minutes of me letting them know I was picking up a prescription. All in all, since the introduction of this app I feel the chances of seeing a doctor are greatly improved and the app saves on wasted phone calls where you would regularly be xNo in the Que. Thanks from Paul

Review titled Awful service
Rated 1 star out of 5

Tried to book a routine GP appointment using on line system which was only available between 8 and 8:45am after this time there is a message saying capacity reached for the day. This would seem to defeat the object of the online booking system. When you phone reception they are really unhelpful and just advise you to use the online booking system. (Unless you require a blood test).

Review titled Medical staff are brilliant but you can't get to see them.
Rated 1 star out of 5

I was told by a Dr to arrange blood tests after 6 weeks.I have called the practice but they are only taking emergency calls. I have gone on the Patient Access website but Brooklea do not offer online appointments.I clicked on 'Blood Tests' but all that gets you is the ability to buy a home kit from a Pharmacy. I clicked on a link that I had received previously from Brooklea but that link just says 'call 111'. Preventative / diagnostic blood tests are a great idea but at Brooklea that's all they are - an idea.
