  1. Review titled Thank you Thank you Doctors and Nurses

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Scott Lawrence Pileckas - Posted on 03 May 2024

Blatchford Clinic has also been fantastic. I developed a difficult unprecedented infection as a result of injuries sustained by officer dorman of Northamptonshire Police in 2017-2024, the results of which permanently disabled me due to overzealous, malicious action for reporting officers for historical sexual abuse. My recovery and treatment team at Newport has been amazing. I am very, very grateful. Thank you all!

  2. Review titled No Health Service

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Sandra Oxley - Posted on 16 May 2024

Access is impossible. I tried to access online triage, it was "temporarily unavailable try again 8.00 am Friday or ring". I bit the bullet anticipating a long wait but no that too was full. The alternative was 111 or walk in centre. The last time I experienced that was after the same experience with Newport Pagnell Medical Centre in February with my husband and we left A&E 14 hours later still without final results of tests. His "care" is still ongoing at a snail's pace. When you manage to access a practitioner the care is good assuming you're still alive by then.

  4. Review titled Absolutely shocking wait times

by Anonymous - Posted on 19 April 2024

I called at exactly 8am Monday morning for an appointment. To my dismay I was caller number 46 in the queue. My call was answered an hour and fifteen minutes later, and the best they could do was a telephone appointment on Friday afternoon. During the appointment the GP asked me to come to the surgery at 4pm. Unfortunately I subsequently had to cancel, so I called them at 3pm, to find I was caller number 20 in the queue. It's now 3:20pm and I'm caller number 14. It's likely I won't be able to cancel before my actual appointment. I was previously with Kingfisher Surgery, who were great, but they recently merged with Newport Pagnell and Willen, with the Newport surgery acting as the main one, and now the service is the worst I've ever experienced in my life. I don't know if it's early teething problems from the merge or if they were totally unprepared. Either way, having to wait this long to speak to someone is totally unacceptable.

  6. Review titled Kindness Personified after Northants Police Injuries

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Scott L Pileckas - Posted on 21 February 2024

The staff suggested, endorsed, and facilitated my new blue badge. I have zero health problems before I was injured by two officers with C I D in Brackmills in Northamptonshire Police and, unfortunately, as we all know from the news, misconduct in the police is rife. Complaints against them are resolved in less than 0.01% of the time, but my practice has been beyond supportive. They have even forced me to attend psychotherapy to ensure the ongoing harassment by the two officers does not impinge on my recovery. Thank you guys for everything. God bless and keep you all.

  7. Review titled Efficient and responsive practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 12 January 2024

I have had a number of medical issues over the last 12 months and I have used the online triage system , which has worked well for me . When required I have speedily escalated to a face to face appointment or blood test appointment . Much of my contact has not necessitated a face to face appointment and has been dealt with perfectly appropriately by telephone contact or text message

  8. Review titled By far the best practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 18 October 2023

I've been with this Medical Centre since 2020, and could not be happier with the way I've been treated. Of course it can take a while to get an appointment, but it's the same, if not worse, everywhere. On occasions I've needed urgent help, I've been assisted in good time, and with remarkable kindness and dignity. For routine appointments or issues, I've been listened to and given appropriate help. Their follow-up response time when I've called 111 has been great. I do not understand people asserting the staff are rude or unhelpful, this could not be further from the truth - I accept if you're worried or in pain you may feel like they're not helping but one can only assume this is a very subjective opinion based on the moment. I had Covid & flu jabs last weekend, the nurse & assistant were exceptionally friendly and happy - this goes a long way to make a patient feel welcomed and cared for. And as for the reception staff, they are the nicest I've ever met (and I've met a lot over the years). Last week I popped in to change an appointment and had a bit of a breakdown, the receptionist immediately came from behind the desk and helped me to sit & calm down - I felt genuinely cared for. Also the site is clean, tidy and a pleasure to visit - I have visited surgeries where you want to wipe your feet on the way out. In short, best MC I've ever been to

  9. Review titled Efficient co-ordinated care

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 08 September 2023

I have experienced a number of medical issues in recent weeks and have found the practice to be extremely efficient and prompt in their response. I felt my concerns were listened to and addressed. I find telephone consultations quite difficult compared to face to face but I have really noticed a change in the quality of these type of appointments at Newport Pagnell Health Centre. The consultation was a true dialogue, rather than one-sided, and I felt able to voice my concerns. A series of appointments included GP, nurse and paramedic input - my comments apply to all.

  10. Review titled Mixed Experience

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Helen - Posted on 31 August 2023

In some ways this surgery is great. The diabetic nurse is excellent and is very thorough and if I were just basing my review on her it would be top notch. Now to the bad bits. Trying to get through to the surgery takes over 20 minutes each time I have called. The online system where you can apparently book appointments is rubbish and unhelpful. Waste of time using the system. I’ve had one particular dr who wasn’t interested in what was causing my symptoms but would rather prescribe me painkiller than address the cause which she didn’t know and didn’t refer me anywhere. Another appointment the dr did refer me for investigations and did say she would also put some of my meds on repeat but she hasn’t done this. I raised this with the online system and have a standard message from the surgery that I need to speak with a dr to get the meds on repeat. No offer of an appointment. No taking into account my message advising that rhe dr hadn’t done what she promised. So now I am going to have to waste more of my time actually trying to get through to explain to a receptionist. I get the impression the surgery is understaffed but this shouldn’t mean getting rid of me as quickly as possible and not addressing any causes of my illness or errors they have made.
