    I was called while driving at 14:22 29/06/2023 twenty five minutes later when I arrived home, I called back only to find the surgery closed for staff. I found last week I may have tumour so thinking about this all week and thinking this is why surgery called how do you think I feel about the service they are offering. I have to now wait another 3 hours till they reopen. Get the training done out of hours when it does not affect patients. Now I’ll ring dead on 17:30 and be in 30 long queue. Also second timed I’ve complained about the service there lately and nothing came of that, as will happen again with this.

    Dear Mr Gill I am sorry to hear that you called back on a day that our phone lines were closed in the afternoon for training. The voicemail should have explained this and your would have been prepared to have called back after 5.30. It is not just our surgery that is closed on this occasion, the training events cover all GP surgeries in the East Herts area. I agree when you are trying to get through to speak a GP this can be frustrating. We have advertised the future closing dates on our website. I will take your suggestion of doing this training events outside of core GP hours with our Integrated Commissioning Board. I can see that we have contacted you regarding your bloods and the GP has referred you to the hospital and you should have got an appointment by now. I cannot see that you have complained previously, but not sure if you did this via email or paper. We do usually respond within 28 days of a patient making a complaint

    I visited my GP today at New River Health and am once again impressed with the level of care provided by my Doctor. I believe that she only works on certain days so I do sometimes need to wait a bit longer for an appointment but the quality of the service and consideration she provides is outstanding. This is the nhs at its best. - thank you

    I was concerned registering here as some negative past reviews (although better more recently). I must say the staff in Ware were wonderful when I went in. They helped sort out my online app and helped me book an appointment. They were so friendly and patient with me. The doctor I saw was also very thorough and he looked through my past history and made some suggestions that have helped. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

    I called the surgery very distressed and the receptionist was extremely caring and empathetic. She referred me to there social care worker who contacted me quickly and was able to help. I felt so pleased I had dealt with a human and not a robot.

    Very helpful doctor took time to listen. Quick check in service. Saw doctor about 10 minutes passed appointment time but received the help and advice I needed

    I saw a doctor within a day about a rash on my arm that I had been treating myself. Doctor discussed possible causes and prescribed treatment. Very happy with service provided.

    Is there anyone at New River Health?? I need an appointment, had issues with getting appointment via website. Tried phoning, on phone for 10 minutes after selecting option 1. All I got was music. Totally disgusting & I feel totally helpless & without a GP. Do they exist any more.

    Phoned mid week to ask for apt ref unknown issues with breathing/heart palpitations/raised pulse and near collapse after exertion a couple of times . Within a few days had seen a nurse at the surgery, seen an out of hours doctor and then a paramedic re another topic (skin rash). Now I've had a blood test and awaiting cardio apt at local hospital. Very reassuring. As I'm someone who does not like to use the surgery unless I have to this did seem to be an easy process which I had been dreading before calling.

    When I contacted Castlegate Surgery after Christmas I received excellent and fast service with a quick referal to the Lister Hospital which resulted in a potentially worrying condition being sorted out within 9 days.

    My husband had one or two worrying health concerns and contacted the practice online. An e consultation was arranged and then blood tests were recommended. It was easy to book an appointment at Hertford within a couple of days. The results were available online but one was inconclusive, so a further test was arranged and that result was available within a couple of days. All within normal tolerances so the concerns were addressed efficiently with a comment to repeat the tests in twelve months time unless there is another concern or change before then.
