  1. Review titled SafeTALK Suicide Awareness Course

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Sophia - Posted on 09 April 2025

I recently attended the SafeTALK Suicide Awareness course at Maybush Medical Centre. The session was incredibly informative, providing vital knowledge and practical skills to help support those struggling with suicidal thoughts. The trainers compassionate and engaging approach made a sensitive topic accessible, and I came away feeling more confident in recognising warning signs and offering help. The course highlighted the importance of open conversations about mental health, and I truly believe initiatives like this are essential for our community. A huge thank you to Maybush Medical Centre for hosting such an important event and to the organisers and trainer for their dedication. I highly recommend this course to others and hope more people take the opportunity to attend in the future

Great informative talk delivered with compassion and empathy. The trainer was good and had good knowledge of the subject matter. It could have been more interactive

Everyone in the practice from the receptionist through to the nurse and on to the doctors were understanding and helpful giving me treatment and advice and then providing easy to access links to videos etc to explain and demonstrate what I needed to do all means my experience was as good as it could have been even as a partial technophobe

Went for my 6 monthly psa blood test and as usual the nurse was excellent at taking blood from my arm that does not allow easy access to the vein.

It was helpful course to acquire the knowledge and skills to recognize and respond to emergencies, potentially saving someone's life. This course give the confidence to save someone life. More courses like this should happen to make the communities strong and educate them. Through this course we knew there are alot of services which community needed but didn't knew they are exist. Refreshments were provided and was delicious. Thank you

  7. Review titled Good practice

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Paul Leslie Kitchingman - Posted on 16 April 2025

I personally have had no problems so far in getting an appointment and seeing a doctor when I have needed to, if I couldn't get to see a doctor on the day same day I was able to get a call back from a doctor on that day for advice so I am quite happy with the service I have received so far.

  9. Review titled Children Jabs

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 29 April 2025

Little one had to receive 4 shots at a time. Staff was really lovely, patient and gentle. Seeing this is necessary, can we consider, where possible, utilising 2 staff for this to administer it simultaneously so it feels like 2 jabs instead of the actual 4? Might be quicker and enable the little one settle faster. Just a thought.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience, and for your kind words about our team. We’re delighted to hear that you found our nurse helpful and gentle during what can be a challenging visit. You make an excellent point about how four separate injections can feel overwhelming for the little ones, however under NHS Immunisation Guidance, whilst a child can receive more than one vaccine in the same visit, they should not be injected by two different nurses at the same time for reasons of safety, consent and record-keeping. For each injection, one trained vaccinator must be responsible for: - checking consent - drawing up the correct vaccine and dose - identifying the right site - administering the injection; and - completing the patient’s record Having two nurses inject simultaneously risks confusion over which vaccine went where and complicates the monitoring of immediate adverse reactions That said please rest assured that we’re always looking for ways to make immunisation visits as smooth and gentle as possible. Patient feedback is exactly what we need to help refine our practice so if you have any other suggestions please do let us know :-)
