The two members of staff I had telephone contact with today in respect of a problem my 94 year old dad was having were very professional, caring, helpful and patient - thank you to both the reception and secretarial ladies.

Thank you for taking the time to feed back after your positive experience. Our teams work hard to provide our patients with the best service they can with the resources they have available - your lovely comments will be passed through to those teams mentioned - thank you again for taking the time to let us know it is very much appreciated.

  2. Review titled Great Experiences

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I attend this service to see the Health and Wellbeing team and this has been a wonderful experience and life changing. I am listened to with empathy and understanding, whilst receiving advice in an empathetic manner. The support and guidance received in my quest to lose weight has resulted in a significant weight loss, with a recognised provider online. I have been able to talk about why my weight has been affected by genetics, anxiety, lifestyle and limited time due to working and being a carer. All I can say is thank you.

Thank you for taking the time to send us your lovely feedback about just one of our many services we offer here at Longton Health Centre with our health care team. We offer a health & wellbeing service in a safe and non-judgemental environment so all our patients can access these appointments in practice. We also arrange community visits for our house bound patients so they too can receive support and guidance where appropriate. I will pass on your positive feedback and comments to the team as this is really lovely to hear - thank you again for sharing

  3. Review titled Abysmal!

Rated 1 star out of 5

I have attempted to receive a prescription for a chest infection for 2 days via the triage portal, however this has been unavailable all this time for some reason. I then contacted the surgery and asked for a prescription via telephone call appointment so as not to waste a slot. I was informed to call either 111 or attend hospital as a walk in patient? As if the hospitals haven't got enough to contend with. I've been a patient at this surgery for 30 years and I have never known it being a poor as this.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback following your latest experience of our services. Whilst generally we reach clinical capacity every day due to patient demand exceeding clinical capacity as a practice, we recognise the challenges and frustrations this presents to both patients and our teams. We are working hard to ensure that our working practices are as efficient as possible and can assure you we constantly review patient feedback and complaints with a view to improving patient experience. We strive to offer as much clinical capacity as we safely can. Please be assured that the practice would never intentionally contribute to existing daily challenges our team face to meet the needs of our patients. Our triage forms are available each day from 8am alongside the option for patients to use our telephone lines or to present to book an appointment directly at the reception desk. However, there will only ever be a finite number of appointments available for booking on the day. In addition to seeing patients in appointments, our clinicians attend home visits to housebound patients, make clinical decisions regarding pathology results and investigations, process patient medication requests and manage acute and routine hospital or 3rd party provider clinical correspondence daily. On occasions where the practice reaches capacity, we must keep our clinicians and patients safe and therefore we have a policy in place to temporarily suspend access to our services and to signpost to alternative healthcare providers. Whilst as a practice we understand that this can be frustrating and inconvenient for patients wishing to access our services we are simply not always able to meet our patient’s expectations with the services we are able to offer with the funding provided to us. Thank you again for taking the time to leave us your comments
