Had an excellent consultation to discuss the results of my annual check up. Firstly - very glad that Lawrence Hill do these, as I have a fairly dire family health history. I am very fit, eat well and stay very active, but some things are genetic. My blood pressure is probably one of them and is slowly creeping up despite everything I do, so this is what we keep an eye on. What I really appreciated is a really in-depth discussion of causes, outcomes, possible treatments, what might happen if we don't take medication, future prospects and likely outcomes etc. We also covered all my other key tests, because of the family history and because I also have iron deficiency anaemia. I was listened to and all my questions were answered - and I always have a lot. This gives me a sense of agency over my treatment - which I think is important - although of course ultimately I will always be deferring to the medical professional for the final word. I really appreciate that I am not just prescribed something and sent in my way because it's quick and the health centre have then 'their bit'. It's actually a proper conversation. Thanks to the staff member involved - I know I can't identify them, but they were friendly, helpful and informative.

doctor asked me for a blood test I was very willing. I also have my medication from the surgery very simple procedure

Very welcoming nurse, put me at ease throughout. Happy experience . I have been advised that my current blood pressure readings are good. I am adopting a positive response to my diet changes. All good .

I used to feel so petrified of having blood tests but all the staff in the treatment room are friendly, welcoming, gentle and reassuring with you. I recently had my blood taken, and knew exactly what to expect, trusted them and felt very safe in their care. I have been a patient registered with this surgery for over 10yrs and have never had a worry or complaint with the lovely treatment room team. You're all amazing - Thank you!

Consultant was very helpful, just a pity about one of your receptionists Who is very abrupt and rude not just me but other people I know who are registered with your practice including my partner..

I visited my Surgery to have my Annual Review and Checkup. The Practice Nurse was so nice, friendly and explained what tests they were doing, put me at my ease.

It would be easier to book an appointment through online booking. I understand that elderly people are not able to book online, but phone booking would still work. Just think it’s a bit easier for those who has access to smart phones and internet.

I had a flare up of Eczema early march 2024. I called in the Gp who referred me to pharmacy to get cortisone cream. The cream worked but not the best. I started developing eczema around my eyes. So I called in again and was informed to send photos. I called the next day because I didn’t recieve the link for photos. I was told to book appointment on the system and wait for the link. I booked for 03/May a telephone consultation as mentioned ln the phone and the confirmation text messages. While awaiting my appointment, I woke up with a sore red eye in the 18th of April. I called 111 who gave an appointment with Gp later that day. I couldn’t wait because my right eye almost shut off and went to Bristol Eye Hospital they gave me an eye cream. The Gp called me later that day around 14:00 and when I told them about my attendance to Emergency they said so this appointment is canceled. I tried to tell about the other eczema in my body but they recommended I wait for my appointment in 3rd/May. In 3/5 I took time off and waited by the phone for hours it was supposed to be at 10:45. I called the Gp Surgery at 14:00 and they called me back at 15:50 to say it was supposed to be a face to face consultation 😅 Very Disappointed And my condition is getting much worse and all they could do is get me another appointment on 29th/May. So horrible I had to wait 3 weeks for first appointment and now I have to wait for another 4 weeks.

The doctor i seen yesterday, was very polite and listened and was sympathetic, brilliant doctor thank you. She took time to listen to my issues, and actually cared about them also.
